Going to a home where locals live is already a unique experience. However, if this comes in a style that is a mutual hobby for both hosts and guests, that makes the experience memorable for both the hosts and guests since they both learn a lot from each other. Can & Gaye are a couple living in Bodrum and they have cooking as their passion for long years. This will pretty much be a home cooking class with a great authenticity and cultural exchange. Health and Fitness: I certify that I am in good health and physical condition to participate in this experience. I do not have any medical conditions, disabilities, or other concerns that would limit my ability to safely participate. I agree to inform LokalBond of any changes in my health status prior to the experience. 4. Assumption of Risk: I hereby assume all risks associated with my participation in the experience, including but not limited to those mentioned above. I acknowledge that LokalBond and its representatives have made no warranties regarding the safety of the experience or the environments involved. 5. Release of Liability: In consideration of being allowed to participate in the experience, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless LokalBond, its owners, employees, agents, hosts, and other participants from any and all claims, actions, damages, or liabilities arising out of or related to my participation in the experience, including, but not limited to, any claims of negligence on the part of LokalBond or its representatives. 6. Lovely experience on local host house. Wonderful time learning about turkish culinary techniques. Can and his wife were delightful and welcoming. Can also picked us up at hotel and showed us the sights along the way
This was an amazing experience. We were able to make and were educated on different types of Turkish cuisine and the overall experience felt very authentic. Our hosts were a lovely, warm and kind couple & you could tell they put alot of effort into making sure our cooking experience was as special as possible which it was! Would highly recommend adding this to your travel itinerary.
I had a wonderful time Jon and his wife was amazing hosting me. The food turned out delicious and I walked away with a wealth of knowledge. I definitely recommend this activity for everyone.
It was lovely to meet Can and Gaye and they were able to give us some local insight into the area. It was different to the other cooking classes we have done and more intimate being in their home. A treat to be back on the raki and I will make the lentil soup, bulgar wheat and koftas when I get home? Also nice to eat food from their allotment!
To add to my mother's 5-star review, I would like to add that Can & Gaye cooked with their own home grown vegetables, olives, olive oil, pickled artichoke hearts, tomato sauce, pomegranate syrup and more, using all natural organic ingredients to create nutritious delicious dishes. Ann West 11:11 AM Please post my review on your website: My son & I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Can and his wife Gaye. They welcomed us warmly into their home, and engaged us step by step in preparing a 5 course dinner together which was especially delicious, seasoned with love! We asked Can if he could guide us on a tour of Bodrum Center. He kindly picked us up 3 hours earlier, showed us ancient sites and local art exhibits, recommended & bartered for best quality gifts in a bustling market, walked us along the waterfront, stopping at places with the best views, and treated us for drinks overlooking a shimmering Mediterranean beach. Our time together getting to know Can and Gaye was rare and memorable. Can is an avid sailor who enjoys his own boat and also rents larger boats to tour and party with close friends. They live a simple free life on a high hill overlooking the sea, where they can walk and swim daily at a neighborhood beach. Lovers of travel, they back packed through Thailand on a motor scooter! One could not have the pleasure of spending time with a kinder or more generous couple over a memorable Turkish feast. Ann West

It was not just about food—it was a beautiful way to connect with the culture and people. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a genuine, hands-on experience!

A good authentic exchange with a really nice couple. Can and Gaye were great and interesting to spend a relaxed evening of cooking and eating with. We learnt about Turkish food and culture, and learnt each other along the way sat by a really great dining room view. A lot of genuine laughs had. Would recommend.
Friendly, amiable and welcoming couple. Lovely home with great views. We were taught to cook many local organic dishes which produced a great meal which we got to enjoy with our great hosts.
This was such an unexpectedly wonderful experience! Can and Gaye welcomed me into their home and we made breakfast and lunch, and also enjoyed some homemade jam, cheese, tea and more. We also started cured olives for me to take home, and also enjoyed some raki and melon. I feel like I’ve made new friends!
