It was an amazing experience we highly recommend. My husband and I really enjoyed the small group environment. We only had 6 people in a comfortable Mercedes van. We were taken to a beautiful local coffee shop for a snack a d a coffee. We then met with a local Aboriginal who took us on a hike through the blue mountains. He talked about his culture, their beliefs, and folklore related to the land, family, and community. He introduced us to plants and animals along the way, as well as other elements of the land they used in their daily lives. We ended at a beautiful waterfall. Then we went to lunch at a local pie shop, and ended at Featherdale where we fed baby kangaroos a d had pictures take. With a koala.
Hi Sightse, Thank you very much for your 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ review and for sharing such a wonderful and detailed description of your day with us. The planning and the delivery of the tour is first class. The experience of walking this World Heritage Listed site with the aboriginal themed commentary really did open up a whole new insight into the Blue Mountains. So much more than breathtaking scenery. An appreciation of the lifestyle and spiritual connection between this land the indigenous people. The coach is very comfortable. The coffee and lunch stops great. The tour guide informed, friendly and just wanted to ensure that we all enjoyed the day.

Wow - I’m almost beyond words. This was an extraordinary tour, and everything felt elevated all throughout the day. Our tour guide Menashe was a great communicator, and clearly cared about making it a great experience for each of us. This was a small tour experience (van has maximum of 14 seats or so). Menashe was knowledgeable and gave us all kinds of great information as we traveled to the Blue Mountains. There were so many thoughtful touches throughout the day. When we stopped for coffee & scones, we stopped at a local shop and the quality and atmosphere were just superb. Our lunch stop was another locally owned business offering a wide variety of meat pies, which were delicious. These were intentional choices, and they really set the tone for the tour and the day. The highlight of all of this though was our morning segment with our aboriginal guide Yamandirra. Yamandirra was a passionate, joyful and deeply caring guide sharing with us all kinds of knowledge of the aboriginal cultures (yes, cultures as there were more than 360 aboriginal peoples!). Anyone can stop and see the Three Sisters, but we were taught about the Seven Sisters (yes, there are 7 not just 3) and then how the Seven Sisters were a part of the knowledge, culture and history of the aboriginal people of that area for centuries. Anyone can do the walk to see Katoomba Falls, but only with Yamandirra did we learn about many of the plants, how they were used as medicines and in the daily lives of the people. Only from Yamandirra did we learn about how the painting rocks we walked by became dyes that could last thousands of years. And only from Yamandirra did we learn how Katoomba Falls was such a sacred space for the women of the ancestors. Every step of the walk to the falls was a joyous teaching moment in which we had the chance to honor and begin to understand the philosophy, the ethos, and the ingenuities of the aboriginal peoples. I could go on and on with praise and appreciation for Yamandirra. Suffice it to say this tour was absolutely amazing, and I know will be the highlight of our entire visit to Australia. I cannot recommend highly enough!

Had a great time and enjoyed it with friends. The tour was definitely worth it despite the weather. Menashe was a great guide along with our Aboriginal cultural historian.

Giving this tour four stars because while parts of the experience were very good, the Tripadvisor description and itinerary are a bit misleading and didn’t match what we expected. I was traveling with my two parents and booked this tour expecting a Blue Mountains scenic experience combined with Aboriginal cultural elements. Instead, this is a full Aboriginal cultural walking tour inside the Blue Mountains National Park, which is free entry to the public. There are no scenic trams, gondolas, or rides included, despite the tour description making it sound like those iconic Blue Mountains experiences would be part of the day. You get to see the Blue Mountains, Three Sisters and Falls from lookout points inside the national park. We spent several hours with one guide walking through the national park while learning about Aboriginal culture, stories, and the land. While this was informative and meaningful, it was not the “Blue Mountains experience” we believed we were booking based on the listing. Please note very clearly: this is a walking tour only and does not include the scenic railway, skyway, or cable cars. That said, Menashe, our driver, was excellent — friendly, attentive, and professional. All meals were provided, which we appreciated, and we did genuinely learn a lot about Aboriginal culture. The coffee stop in the morning and lunch stop to get some pies was also amazing. Unfortunately, we only realized much later that the scenic rides were not part of the tour, so we tried to make the most of the experience once we understood what the day actually was. We ended the day at the zoo, but it was extremely crowded due to peak holiday season. Because of the long lines, we didn’t have time to meet the koalas, which was disappointing. While we understand this was due to holiday crowds, it did impact the overall experience. My recommendation to future travelers: if you’re unsure what this tour includes, ask Menashe ahead of time for clarification so expectations are aligned. If you’re specifically looking for scenic trams and classic Blue Mountains attractions, this may not be the right fit. If you’re interested in an Aboriginal cultural walking experience, you may enjoy it more than we did. Overall, we had a good day and learned a lot, but we would be more careful with how we book in the future based on descriptions — especially during peak season.
Dear kanwal Thank you ⭐⭐⭐⭐ And thank you very much for taking the time to write such a detailed and thoughtful review. We truly appreciate guests who share honest feedback, as it is valuable not only for us, but also for the wider audience of future travellers considering a Blue Mountains tour from Sydney. Your perspective helps others make informed choices, and that’s something we genuinely respect. Our aim with this experience is to deliver a high-quality, small-group Blue Mountains tour, combining professional guiding, meaningful Aboriginal cultural storytelling, carefully selected lookout points such as the Three Sisters and waterfalls, and smooth, comfortable logistics throughout the day. Guests are transported in a modern Mercedes vehicle, picked up and dropped off from convenient city locations, and looked after from start to finish so they can focus on enjoying the experience rather than managing the details themselves. The tour includes curated stops, meals, a coffee break, and a visit to a wildlife park, and is designed to offer depth, insight, and personal attention—not just sightseeing. We’re very pleased to hear that you appreciated the professionalism, guidance, food, and overall care, and that the Aboriginal cultural component was informative and meaningful for you and your parents. As you experienced, your visit took place during a very busy peak tourism period, when popular sites—including the wildlife park—can be crowded. While this is outside our control, we always strive to manage the day smoothly and provide a positive experience. Finally, we would like to apologise for any confusion. This Aboriginal cultural tour has never been advertised as including gondolas, scenic railways, or Scenic World rides. We’re sorry if this was not clear at the time of booking, and we appreciate you highlighting the importance of clear communication. Thank you again for your feedback, and we wish you all the best in your future travels. Warm regards, Menashe Zanza Tours Pty Ltd Blue Mountains Tours | Aboriginal Cultural Experiences.

This truly was the most amazing tour and much more than I imagined. I would be lying if I didn’t say I had high hopes, but Menashe and our aboriginal guide exceeded what I thought was possible. They took great care to adjust the original tour to accommodate for the weather enhancing our experience. As a family of six the pace and locations were perfect. Each stop came with a breath taking takeaway for each kid in their own unique way. Finishing the trip with great pies and better conversation, it was a perfect authentic Australian experience. This tour filled my heart and inspired my whole family. I couldn’t be more grateful and honored to learn so much about the native culture. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much, Kyle, for your incredibly moving 5-star review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “This tour was all I could talk about” truly touches my heart. I’m deeply grateful for your kind words and for choosing the Blue Mountains Tour from Sydney with an Aboriginal Experience. At Zanza Tours, our goal is to create something far beyond a standard sightseeing day — a personal, family-friendly, and authentic experience that stays with you long after the tour ends. I’m especially glad that adjusting the itinerary for the weather helped enhance the day. With small private-style groups, we have the flexibility to adapt the pace and locations so families — especially with children — can enjoy each stop in their own way. Hearing that every child took something meaningful from the experience is exactly what we hope for. Sharing the day alongside an Aboriginal guide, learning about native culture, connection to Country, and living stories, is a core part of this tour, and I’m honoured it resonated so deeply with your family. Ending the day with great Australian pies, warm conversation, and shared reflection is often where everything comes together. Thank you for your trust, your openness, and your beautiful words. It was a real privilege to guide your family, and I hope to welcome you again on another journey in Australia. Warm regards, Menashe Zanza Tours – Small Group Blue Mountains Tours with Aboriginal Experiences
The trip was very informative and the guide quite knowlegdeable. Very pleasant day spent. Stop for food was authentic Aussie
Dear Lorna, 5-star review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank you very much for your kind review, and for choosing to explore the Blue Mountains with Zanza Tours. As a small family-owned boutique operator, it means a lot to us when guests take the time to share their experience. I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the day — the information, the stories, and the Aboriginal cultural components. For us, that deeper layer — connecting to Country, understanding philosophy, bush medicine, traditions and perspective — is what makes this region truly special. We also love supporting our local mountain businesses, so I’m happy you enjoyed the authentic Aussie food stop — it’s part of the full experience of being “out of the city and into the bush”. Following repeated requests from our guests, we are now launching on our website a selection of authentic Aboriginal art items — directly made by Aboriginal artists. This is a way for our guests to continue supporting First Nations culture even after the tour. Thank you again for your feedback — we wish you many more great journeys, and we would be delighted to welcome you again any time. Warm regards, Zanza Tours – Blue Mountains, NSW Australia 🌿🖤💛❤️
