Know that when there's not enough of English speaking tourists you will be joined with a group that's not. I, and 7 other people ended up with an guide who is not for English speaking tourists. The poor "guide" had difficulty communicating with us making us feel not part of his group. He admitted to us that he was not supposedly our guide but because our group was too limited in number the company placed us with him. I feel I should have been notified of this change. What I paid for was a guide, a tour guide, not a chauffer who merely was just basically dropping me off to sights without giving insights on what Blue mountain park was about. I truly want a refund or partly be refunded.
We had a great time! Augustine was super knowledgeable about everything and had the best stories too! Pick up and drop off were seamless. I recommend highly
This is a great tour to the Blue Mountains with all three Scenic World rides and the Sydney Zoo. Stops along the way. Jacky is a great tour guide with humorous and interesting facts. He goes out of his way to make sure you're taken care of. The only drawback is his very thick accent.
A very comprehensive tour with many exciting experiences. Not to be missed. Augustine is a very friendly, knowledgeable and customer oriented driver.
The tour was great! We did not hire a car for our trip so the guided tour was perfect for us. Jacky was a very hospitable guide. There was enough time at each spot to enjoy everything we wanted to. Pick up was a little confusing as there were so many tour groups being picked up at the same place at the same time. We arrived early but almost missed our bus. I would suggest either provided a photo of the tour guide or put a sign on the outside of the bus and provide those details.
Just a lovely day. Ausgustino was fab ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
Augustine was our driver. Did an excellent job! Prior to even going into the zoo, he made us morning tea, which was a very first for us. The zoo -he went out of his way to help all the guest. Blue Mountain was beautiful. He made sure we were all taken care of. Made sure our activities were within the correct time. He even got us back to Sydney at a decent hour thank you Augustine.
Unfortunately the worse viator experience we have had. Commentary non existent really as English was not fluent. Pick up not as advertised. More driving around before even leaving city and waiting long time for people who were really late. Very disappointing experience for such a beautiful location to visit.
Shaun the driver was great. The waiting time in scenic world was crazy, we spent two hours there of which one hour and a half queuing for the three rides, I’m sure in some days it’s not possible to enjoy all three cause it’s very busy. I would have avoided the one hour in Leura and spent more in the scenic world.
Thank you for your kind feedback about Shaun — we’re very pleased to hear you enjoyed the tour with him. Regarding Scenic World, during the peak season it can be busier than usual, and some waiting time for the rides is expected on certain days. We always try to manage the schedule carefully so guests can still enjoy the main attractions there as smoothly as possible, while allowing enough time to experience the site. The stop in Leura is part of our standard itinerary and offers a relaxed break in the village. We truly appreciate your suggestion about spending more time at Scenic World, and we will certainly take this into consideration when reviewing future tour planning. Thank you again for sharing your experience with us.
Cannot recommend Mietu tours as a partner of Viator. Viator needs to vet tour partners better. Our tour was a terrible reflection of Viator. Our tour was cursed by heavy fog, so we were unable to take advantage of everything except Featherdale. However, that isn’t the source of frustration with the tour company. The tour guide made zero effort to interact with our small group of tourists (seven). We literally rode nearly four hours in silence without so much as an interesting tidbit of history or local tradition. No interesting points of local interest…nothing. As our group grew more collectively frustrated with the lack of effort by the guide, we joked we didn’t have a tour guide, we had a driver. Terribly disappointed and will hesitate to use Viator again as a result.
We sincerely apologise for your disappointing experience. We are truly sorry that our driver-guide on the day did not provide the level of commentary and interaction you expected. This is not the standard of service we aim to deliver. The driver involved has now been temporarily taken off tour duties, and we are strengthening our driver-guide training and service monitoring to ensure proper guiding and commentary are consistently provided, so that this does not happen again in the future. Thank you for sharing your feedback — it is very important to us and helps us improve.
