My Name is Roger Thompson , I am a born Jamaican but was raised up in the beautiful mountains close to the blue mountains National Park. My hobbies with nature and Music. I resign my jobs as Park Ranger and as forest Ranger. I am very knowledgeable about the plants and animals, insects. I have work with a lot of students, locally and internationally, for research. I love to meet people and teach. My community is very nice with view and waterfalls, sunset and sunrise. We roast coffee and like by nature in nature with nature. Now I am ready to share the best experience..

Peak can be climb at sunrise or Sunset, based on the time of your experience the schedule is adjusted. Off Road drive to the entrance of the path to the Peak on a Jeep Hike to the Peak (3 to 4 hours each way) Drive back Cook some local food Hang out and chill with the locals (accomodation can be provided on request)

I had a great and complete experience, got to try the blue mountain coffee from a local producer, a good hike with nice views, and got to try local food and drinks. Robert is a very experienced tour guide.
Despite a slight inconvenience with timing for pickup, I enjoyed the hike with Roger. Quite knowledgeable about not only the mountains, as a former park ranger Roger also possesses a litany of information about flora, birds, mountain culture, (and even music). He’s respected throughout the mountains, giving one a sense of calm not only within a different cultural environment—but also a topographical one. If thinking about this tour—JUST BOOK IT, and do so with Roger. You won’t be disappointed. I most definitely look forward to returning to the mountains with Roger as guide.

Excellent tour. Lyndon B Johnson, the "36th President", was a very skilled driver. Bow, the tour guide, was supportive and informative. The tour took me to the op, and although clouds covered some of my view, I still saw excellent views to and from the peak. Also, the man selling the coffee and fruits at the bottom of the hike was generous as I ran out of cash and he discounted me so I can pay for my bus fare home after being dropped off by Lyndon (I lived far from the Kingston hotels). Overall, very pleased. Highly recommended.
You should know that the hike is pretty much all uphill. I'm an avid hiker and this was a great experience. The trail was basically empty and we made it to the top in time to see the sun rise. I'd recommend this to anyone who likes a little adventure.

It Built my confidence like no other.Just the way how i wanted.Walked into dark peak from 02Am through Rain and wind with the help of WALK GUIDE "Tomae" and Came back by 8am experiencing Rainbow &Sunlight. Booking Reference #1167900197 [August/12, 2024 Monday 6:50 AM] We were waiting at Terra Nova Hotel on Waterloo Rd, Kingston, Jamaica. The tour operator had never showed up to pick us up. We waited until 6;30am (and pickup was suppose to be 5am.) We decided to go back to our Hotel room disappointed, confused and frustrated and so therefore we could not go on the Blue Mountain tour. The communication is not professional. This is our experience but we WON'T recommend this tour operator, Blue Mountain Adventure Tours SBS JAMAICA anyone.

Communication is very important even with a confirmed booking. Before the day of the bookings
10/10 recommend. Roger is amazing. We communicated via Whatsapp ahead of time, so everything was seamless on the day of. He picked us up from Kingston in the early morning and drove up to the trailhead. He is extremely knowledgeable about the mountain, flora & fauna, and just us two gals felt safe the entire time! We made it to the peak and got some amazing views before heading back. Experience of a lifetime, must do!

Basically I got stiffed on a no-show after waiting 2-1/2 hours. I don’t have a good word for the tour operator or Viator. The tour operator said he hasn’t gotten paid by the booking company (that couldn’t be anyone but Viator). Viator told me they will refund me but screwed up me taking an extra day off. So why is this service still being offered on Viator? Who’s telling the truth? I don’t know but the operator is SBS and they seemed to get good reviews in the past, but at minimum they would have reached out to me in advance and cancelled the tour because they had my contact information. So please avoid this.
Roger is incredibly knowledgeable and the views were amazing. Roger adapted the hikes based on our needs. We cannot recommend Roger enough.
