Your Blue Mountain experience begins with a relaxing drive from your hotel into the Blue Mountain countryside. Enjoy a bit of sightseeing in the mountains as you drive from Kingston up to New Castle where a stop for photos at the New Castle military barracks which was established in 1841 by the British. Take in the beautiful view before leaving for the Craighton Coffee Estate. We were surprised to learn that the Craighton estate is owned by Japanese company and has been for some time. Most of their Blue Mountain coffee, about 70 to 80%, goes straight to Japan. They explained to us the coffee making process from growing, all the way through to roasting. And also what makes pure Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee so good. We were cautioned of buying anything that had the word “blend” on it and we were shown the proper seal that shows a package is pure Blue Mountain coffee One of the best coffees in the world, without doubt
