HIGHLY recommend. The tour was on time and intimate. This is the perfect time to go see the Blue Grotto and to see Capri. Just wow!
Definitely a five. Giovanni was the perfect Capt. We were the first two boats that went through and it was well worth the wait for. We also had a fantastic tour around the island, Capt. Giovanni was wonderful.
Not only was the Blue Grotto otherworldly, Giovanni was a fantastic guide. We were the first boat to arrive at the Blue Grotto, and were within the first 3 or 4 boats inside. With that out of the way, we were free to go around the whole island, passing the Faro, visiting the Green Grotto and the White Grotto, and passing Marina Piccola and the Faroglini. Giovanni was very nice and full of information. I can’t recommend the Blue Grotto enough. It’s breathtaking, though I wasn’t prepared for what an intimate experience it is. You have to get into a smaller boat to go inside the cave, and you are…very close to the captain and the other passengers. But it’s only for a brief time, and you’ll be so entranced with the glowing blue water, you won’t notice.
Amazing tour! Giovanni was our guide and got us first in at the Blue Grotto so we didn’t have to wait in the long line!! Highly recommend to see the island of Capri by a local!
Absolutely amazing experience. Definitely recommend getting up early to do this trip - be one of the first to The Blue Grotto and only a few minutes wait to get in. As we were through the grotto so quickly, the Skipper kindly threw in a tour around the island - a wonderful and unexpected bonus. Can not recommend this tour highly enough.
My husband and I discovered the Mondo Small Group Tour of Capri through reading a Rick Steve’s guide on Italy. We had an incredible experience. As of this writing the cost for 8 hours is 140 euros per person and this includes a convenient meeting location in Sorrento (Marina Grande), getting into the Blue Grotto right after it opens in the morning around 10:00am, a scenic late morning tour by small boat around the entire island of Capri, water and soda, and four hours of free time on Capri. The highlight for me was the ride with our small group of seven total around Capri with countless opportunities to take photos. It is worth doing the Blue Grotto portion as well but it is very short at about 10 minutes at a cost of 18 euros and extra if you tip. The time on Capri goes very quickly, which was the only criticism of anyone in my group (they thought that the time on the island could have been longer). Capri can be quite crowded so keep in mind that it may take time getting around and that you might only have time to do a couple of things in this amount of time. My husband and I decided to ride the funicular up from the main port to Capri Town and do some window shopping including a fun walk around the flagship Prada store that boasts the best views in the world. We also had a delightful pasta lunch at Al Capri that had incredible views of the Mediterranean and Capri cliffs. Our friendly and energetic guide Alessia made the trip and was very attentive to our needs including getting my husband a carbonated beverage since he gets motion sickness on boats. Our boat driver Frankie was equally charming and expertly escorted us around Capri. If you are looking to enjoy some time on a small boat away from the crowds really getting to admire the beautiful scenery of Capri, then this Mondo Small Group Tour is the ideal Capri day trip.
Unexpected for this tour Very best experience for Blue Grotto tour and boat trip around the Capri island 2 hrs its perfect time !!
Our tour guide Giovanni, native of Capri, showed us his island. He was as much a part of the tour as the boat ride. It was raining and water choppy but we still had a fabulous tour of the island. He answered every question we had with great confidence and enthusiasm. Lovely experience and definitely worth it.
Marco and Alexia were fabulous. Loved the boat, loved the scenery, loved everywhere they took us to. Would definitely do it again and highly recommend it to others.
