Description

This day tour is a great, dynamic & fun day out, where you explore the best spots of the Triglav National Park, Soča Valley and the Julian Alps. It's a small-group escape into the wild heart of Triglav National Park! Slovenia is small, but its beauty is not, and one day in the Julian Alps shows you why people fall for this country. You'll drive the dramatic Vršič Pass, hike on amazing trails, and watch the Soča River run that unreal emerald green, the colour the trip is named for. Feeling brave? Add an optional white-water raft down the emerald Soča (extra fee), our guests' favorite thrill. Round-trip transport, park fees and free photos are sorted, and groups stay small (max 8 per guide), so it feels less like a tour and more like a good old road trip with a friend showing you the best stuff. Please note: this tour has no fixed route or set stops, the itinerary is decided spontaneously by your guide.

Really well planned, with a very knowledgeable guide. Overall, it was a super day out. The white water rafting was really good as well, so don't forget to book that.

Great day out of Bled

It is a big day out but a great experience. The company itself has a more detailed itinerary than Viator gives. Have a look to reduce the change if duplication, which happened to me.

Emerald waters, stunning scenery, hiking, rafting,

Absolutely fabulous day - highly recommend it. From being picked from directly from our accommodation, to being driven around in a nice air conditioned mini van with maximum of 8 people our fantastic guide Dennis was a great source of knowledge. From giving lots of history of the different areas to stories / legends as we were driving from place to place he made the journey interesting and fun. Lots of stops to grab a coffee / lunch and even a trip across the border into Italy for some Tiramisu and a coffee by the lake. Amazing to stand behind a waterfall curtain, an incredible drive up and down through the mountain pass included 50 hair pin turns with some spectacular views and of course the rafting was great fun - especially as our rafting guide was so funny - and the emerald colour of the water down the Soca river was breathtakingly beautiful. 10/10 trip

I cannot recommend this...

I cannot recommend this tour enough! Our guide Dennis was lovely and took great care of us, always making sure we were comfortable and having a good experience. I saw and learned so much about geology, geography and history. Of course the national park is absolutely stunning and cannot be missed, and rafting was an incredibly experience!

Stunning scenery of the Triglav National Park, Slovenia

This trip displayed the stunning scenery of the Triglav national park, including waterfalls, mountains and of course the beautiful emerald waters of the River Soca. Our guide, Jan, was very knowledgeable about Slovenia, it's history and culture, as well as all of the scenery within the park. He was able to advise on the best places to take photos. Most of the group took part in white water rafting, which was very exciting. The tour was a full day tour - about 12 hours - but well worth it for seeing so much stunning scenery.

Perfect tour for a couple which was super accommodating

Oh my goodness. What a life changing experience! Denis was such an incredible guide and really made it a special trip. We had 6 people on the tour, us as a couple and a family of four, and had the loveliest time! Denis went out of his way to make sure we knew the most interesting bits of history, made the most of seeing everything and were comfortable. I personally have really bad Asthma and could manage most elements but struggled with the steps up to the waterfall with the steepness. Denis walked slowly with me, getting me to take breaks and getting me to the top so I didn’t miss out on the most magical experience and I couldn’t have asked for more encouragement and patience - it made such a difference. Rok was our guide for the white water rafting too and we had the best time, especially accommodating for a bit of a lack of strength between us on the boat aha. Plus we got a lovely drink after. Such a fun time! It’s soo many hours in a car but absolutely worth it to see so much - we even went back through Italy! Even though conditions may vary - we didn’t see much of one waterfall just because there had been no rainfall, we still got told all about it and it still felt flawless to see it in person. Our tips would be; take travel sickness meds if needed (my husband did and was fine!), grab quick food at the stops rather than trying to get a sit down meal, take water and use every break to grab drinks etc. as needed (we were during the heatwave so needed it). And you want to go wearing swimwear so it’s easier than changing in a public toilet! This was the perfect tour - rafting, sightseeing, swimming and scenery galore with the loveliest guide. They also take pics throughout the whole day so we can’t wait to see them!!! Lovely addition.

One of the best day trips we’ve done!

What a fantastic trip! With only a short time in Bled, this trip was the perfect way to see the highlights of the beautiful natural Triglav National Park and Julian Alps. Dennis our guide shared so much information, history and his personal experiences of living in this beautiful part of Europe. He ensured we were all happy with where we visited and stopped at multiple locations for short walks to see some of the most incredible landscapes and locations we have ever visited. The minivan was kept lovely and cool on a very hot day and was very comfortable. The communication with 3Glav before the trip was very good, answering questions and booking. The pick up from our accommodation was great too. Dennis’ extensive local knowledge made all the difference as there is no way we would have seen so many varied places on our own in a day. A huge shout out to Dennis who made our time in Bled/surrounds so memorable. Thank you.
