Marketplace – A Hidden History from Roman Times Anyone who strolls comfortably through the market square of Baden-Baden or climbs the Florentine mountain today often has no idea that an ancient history lies beneath the cobblestones and houses – the traces of the Roman past. Around 2,000 years ago, the Romans built an important bathing centre in Baden-Baden – the then “Aquae”. The hot thermal springs attracted visitors even then. In the immediate vicinity of today's market square were Roman bathing facilities, some of whose ruins are still underground. The Florentine Mountain, today a picturesque, quiet place with views over the city, was probably part of a Roman residential or cult area. It is believed that villas or smaller temple complexes were located here – protected and elevated with a view over the valley.

Beautiful mountain walk with arrival on the lake and lunch in a hut overlooking the shore of the same. Great food and honest bill. Go there!!
Very nice trip made by car in 3 days, charming Strasbourg with characteristic views to see especially at Christmas time, Baden Baden very quiet surrounded by greenery and black forest, with a beautiful casino to visit and the spa to live up to their fame
Caesar was amazing!! We saw so much in just one day! Black Forest cake, the thermal baths, waterfall, Mummelsee, and Strasbourg!
Journey with Phillip was pleasant and Fun. Helped us in buying a Cuckoo clock and took us to a finest wine tasting place. Also he is Supportive in Nature.
The app bugs all the time. Now school period is better, otherwise the tail is bof. I think you need to modify your application, too common bug.
Dear Sir/Madam, I believe you have mistakenly left this review about us. I am a tour guide and offer city tours from Baden-Baden to Strasbourg. You have never been our customer. I kindly ask you to delete this review, as it has nothing to do with our services. Best regards, Katharina
The Black Forest is beautiful. There are many leisure activities that can do, from hiking , to cycling or skiing in winter, to going to a spa, swimming. Unfortunately, here is the internet connection death. If you walk with an online map or with online tracking , you are lost. Take a map or make a plan at home where you want to go. Will also in Navi does not work. Oh, the phone reception is also death in many places. Said a beautiful area to relax, recharge your batteries or work out.
Spectacular view, beautiful and relaxing place, I would walk hours hours so it was beautiful 😍, I had not seen such a great place
Ilja was our tour guide. Our group was made up of two couples with no idea what they wanted to see. He asked us a few questions, then took us to see several things in Baden Baden, including a lake, a waterfall, and lots of shopping stops (sorry Ilja!). We then went over to France where we saw a gorgeous cathedral, had lunch, and more shopping. He was very knowledgeable, especially about the folklore of the areas which I was partial to. It was a great trip and I’m very thankful we did it. Highly recommended!
Lively city, typical, conducive to relaxation, quiet , extensive pedestrian zone and very good local food at "the bistro"
We experienced different things during this 1 day tour, hidden beauty of nature and local culture. Our tour guide was very friendly and helpful, had good knowledge of areas. We are happy with our tour!
