For my son’s wedding in August, I wanted truly special outfits designed for the celebrations. I was searching for a designer who could create elegant and extraordinary pieces, and that’s when I came across The Label Ritika. Meeting Ritika was one of the best decisions I made during the wedding preparations. She designed all my outfits beautifully and understood exactly what I wanted. Even on occasions when I was unsure about the style or design, she guided me so well and created outfits that suited me perfectly. What I loved most was her attention to detail, creativity, and ability to bring ideas to life so effortlessly. The craftsmanship, fitting, and overall experience were excellent. On top of that, the pricing was very reasonable for such customized designer wear. I would highly recommend Label Ritika to anyone looking for stunning outfits for weddings or special occasions. You will not regret visiting her! ♥️
Jainath was my very excellent guide! He was highly knowledgeable, keen to share about Indian wedding culture and very responsive to my questions. I was in Chennai to attend a wedding and thought doing this tour ahead of it would help educate me appropriately. It certainly did!! Jainath took pains to find images and words on the internet to explain and help me understand better. He also paved the way and expertly led me along and through chaotic Chennai traffic, and even walked me back to my hotel to ensure my safety. I had to buy some accessories and shoes for the wedding I am to attend, and Jainath showed me where to find quality and reasonably priced ones. This tour is a storehouse of information and experiences. Very colourful and experiential. I’d highly recommend it. I came away with a transformed understanding of this key facet of Indian life.
Nivi is a lovely tour guide. She made the trip a lot of fun. The wedding sari store is fabulous!
I just had a wonderful evening through Chennai markets with Hareesh. I really enjoyed walking in the busy streets, tasting an Indian filter coffee, and knowing a little bit more about the city. Hareesh is an amazing guide, he took the time to stop at the oldest bookstore in India, my favorite stop in the tour! Chapeau to the driver who patiently sorted out the crazy traffic 🙏
What a fabulous tour. Nivi, our guide, was so warm, informative and sharing. We learnt so much about about the traditions and obligations of preparing for a wedding in South India, The intimacy of the experience was special. Nivi also introduced us to kuzhipaniyaram, a delicious street food of crisp pan fried rice and lentil dumplings. I would highly recommend this tour and Nivi as a tour guide.
Natarajan was an excellent guide who brought me around T Nagar. He was very knowledgeable and shared many insights about wedding tradition and based on his personal experience. There was no pressure to buy anything and it was great being able to learn about wedding culture while immersing in the local shopping scene. Highly recommended to explore a different and very local side of Chennai! 10/10 :) Thank you Natarajan!
Very personal attention and friendly. Never pushed me and very helpful with my purchases including getting good prices
I am glad you enjoyed the Big Fat Wedding Shopping Walk. Thanks for taking the time for this review. It was our pleasure hosting you.
Thanks to Nivi from 5 senses, I thoroughly enjoyed purchasing sarees and jewelry at T. Nagar, an exciting shopping destination in Chennai. Don’t be alarmed by the mention of “sarees and jewelry.” This isn’t about dragging tourists from one emporium to another. She guided me to well-known, local shops with a genuine reputation and assisted me throughout the purchasing process. Although I live in Delhi, speak Hindi, and am familiar with Indian culture, shopping with a local lady like Nivi was incredibly reassuring. This was my second tour with 5 senses, and I found absolutely nothing unpleasant—a truly valuable experience while traveling in India. My gratitude to them!
Hello! I am glad you enjoyed Big Fat Wedding shopping walk with Nivethitha. Thanks for taking the time for this review. Your feedback is very valuable to us. It was our pleasure hosting you.
Naz been just great. Throughout our function she look after everyone so nicely and effectively. Great place to visit. And great place to host your functions
While Nivi was an outstanding guide, I feel that the description of this tour was somewhat misleading. It really is just a shopping experience on one very busy street. Opportunity to buy goods in stores and from street vendors. Having said that, Nivi was extremely generous with her knowledge, and in answering our peculiar questions, we learnt a great deal.
Thanks for this opportunity to host you. I am glad you enjoyed this walk with Nivi. Regarding the title and theme , as mentioned it is a "wedding shopping" walk not a "wedding walk". The streets we go is where the shopping for south indian weddings happens. It was our pleasure hosting you.
