Would not recommend

Large group, bikes were horrible small and dated. Lady guide was nice but hard to hear unless standing close and in a big group was hard. Stood in full sun far to long actually most the tour was stopping to long.

Operator response

Thank you for your feedback — and we’re sorry to hear the experience didn’t fully meet your expectations. Regarding the group size: your group consisted of 15 participants, which is within our standard group size. We always aim to keep a good balance between a fun atmosphere, safety, and personal attention. As for the bikes: our bikes are only 4 weeks old and are regularly checked and maintained, so they are certainly not old. We’re sorry if the bike size or setup didn’t feel right for you. If you had mentioned it during the tour, we would have been happy to adjust the bike or (where possible) switch it on the spot. We appreciate you taking the time to leave a review, as it helps us continue improving !

Karin is a must for Vienna.

Karin was the perfect tour guide. An absolute Viennese original! She has a great deal of knowledge about history and dates. It was very funny and very interesting. We felt like we had discovered and seen everything. The bike tour itself is not difficult. Very easy to ride. We were lucky and there were only four people in the group. Karin had everything under control. Meeting point and time were spot on, completely happy. Many thanks, Karin.

All in all the amount of...

All in all the amount of time on a bike was less that 35 minutes, lots of walking the bike. Our guide was kind but her voice so low that unless you were right in front of her you couldn’t hear. We had very late arrivals, cutting into the tour about 20 minutes. One of our bikes had seat issues and had to continually be adjusted, and by the end we also lost a pedal. We addressed the issue with the guide but she was unresponsive. The bikes are older models, did the job, but were a bit worn for the wear. In many ways it felt like we did a walking tour.

Operator response

Thank you for your review. We’d like to clarify one important point :-): During our 3-hour tour we typically cycle around 12 km. There are indeed a few very short sections along the route where cycling is not permitted (for example in pedestrian-only areas or specific spots), and in those cases we walk with the bike for a moment) That said, we do take your feedback about the guide being hard to hear and the bike issue also seriously. If you raised this during the tour and felt you weren’t supported, that’s not the experience we want to provide. We will follow this up internally and put extra focus on both communication during the tour and pre-ride bike checks. If you can share your booking name and the date/time of the tour, we’ll be happy to look into what happened and discuss a suitable solution. Kind regards, My Vienna Tours Team

A must do!!

The tour was awesome, saw most of Vienna and was easy to see where I wanted to come back to visit longer. Tour operator was great, guide fantastic, and the guy there wouldn’t even let me pay for a large bottle of water because I had no cash on me (bring cash for water 😀). Highly recommend!

Not worth the price/time

The group was a too large for the city. We kept getting separated due to the short timing of the lights. Our guide tried hard but was not very loud so only the first few people around could hear. We tried moving closer but that didn’t seem to work as there were already people around. My advice, rent scooters and have Google or ChatGPT create a route and give you the history along the way.

Operator response

Thanks for your review. We’re sorry to hear the tour didn’t meet your expectations. Our group size is always a maximum of 15 people. We deliberately keep it at this limit so everyone can clearly hear the guide and so the group can move smoothly and safely through the city—especially at traffic lights. We’re sorry to hear that this didn’t work out that way for you. We still wish you a wonderful time in Vienna. Kind regards, My Vienna Tours Team

Informative, fun bike tour

We enjoyed the bike tour with Karin (or was it Katrin). We were a small group and rode in a relaxed manner from one sight to the next. While we were able to stand in the shade, our guide shared a lot of interesting information about Vienna in general, about the sights, and of course about the history as well. It was a lot of fun, we can only recommend it.

Vienna on a bike !

A good mix of riding, seeing, and talking by the guide. Gave a 4 instead of 5 cause she was a little hard to understand.
