the guide was incredible , she knew all the details and she was trully engaged that we could enjoy and learn everything about the sites
We’re so happy to hear this! The deep knowledge and genuine engagement of every Tourist Israel guide are what help turn great sites into memorable experiences.
We spent a great day with the guide George. The driver picked us up in the early morning in Tel Aviv and we were driving via Jerusalem to Bethlehem and Jericho in Westbank. Highlight was the cable car ride in Jericho. George is very knowledgeable, explained a lot. We always felt very safe.
We’re glad you felt safe and well cared for throughout the day. Early pickups, clear routing, and experienced guides are all part of how the Tourist Israel team ensures smooth tours in this region.
It was 100%. The staff is very helpful. Explain all the points. Thanks to the weather, good traffic and open places we managed to do everything. That is, everything that was within the reach of the team. Only it cannot be so by external conditions. But everything went perfectly. George is excellent.
We appreciate your feedback! It’s great to hear everything ran smoothly and that our team made the most of the conditions on the day. George will be happy to hear your kind words.
This tour was well worth my limited resources. We started on time, and our driver was excellent. Our guide was friendly and did a good job of shooing off the pesky street merchants who got quite aggressive. Yes you do have to spend the obligatory 30 minutes browsing at a shop I already knew I wasn’t going to buy anything from them. Be aware that if you have a sensitive stomach, the road leading out of Bethlehem to Jericho is not the greatest so you might be feeling a little miserable like I was. Because of the current fighting situation, there were relatively few tourists at the church of the nativity, so we got to go down into the grotto with minimal delay. One thing I would suggest for this tour, or any other tour in a foreign country, is that you keep your expectations reasonable and know that things aren’t always going to work out as you would have liked. Learn to be flexible and look at the big picture. I got to go to West Bank on this tour that’s more than most people ever done. This tour was time well spent.
Thank you for sharing such a detailed and thoughtful review. We're glad to hear the tour felt worthwhile and that you appreciated both the punctual start and the efforts of our driver and guide, especially in handling some of the more challenging moments. We also appreciate your practical advice about flexibility while traveling, which is valuable in complex regions like the West Bank. It's wonderful that you were able to visit the Church of the Nativity with minimal wait and experience such a meaningful location. We’re grateful you chose to spend your time with us.
Badren is one terrific guide! A wealth of knowledge shared objectively . Visiting the Church of the Nativity was timed perfectly and despite the crowds, our super guide made sure we understood everything we we saw. Baptism in the Jordan River was profound. Bring extra money for the robe. Visiting the Mount of Temptation: 'purchase tickets in advance to avoid lines'. It didn't really work that way however they were less expensive! The lunch was an AMAZING buffet followed by a hike to the Greek Orthodox Monestary The tour stopped at reputable vendors. Sea of Spa had superior quality items, way less expensive than at the Dead Sea. I really learned from Badren's commentaries from agriculture to geology. Thank you for the 'taste of the West Bank'.
Organized tour, we feel safe all the time. Our tour guide is excellent! Our tour mates are amazing as well
Thank you! We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed the tour's organization, our guide's expertise, and the company of your tour mates. Looking forward to your next visit!
Can't quite remember the guides name, but he was excellent. Well organized and had a thorough knowledge of all topics on the tour. Always kept track of the people, making sure we were together.
The tour started with a 30 minutes delay, and that was the negative part of it. All the rest was very good, including the part at Palestine, since we were able to visit all the planned sites in a safe way.
The tour started from Tel Aviv, it stopped at Jerusalem pick up point for more tourists. Aviad our tour guide was knowledgeable, well informed and tried to cover all sightseeing's of the tour. He addressed the questions we bombarded him with with calmness and constantly tried to remind us of the ancient, documented stories. It was a long day, full of history and culture education. We had a local guide, a lady Neveen for the Church of Nativity in Bethlehem, very passionate and willing to share her stories. Coach was comfortable, could use a bit of more cleaning, driver knew his stuff. We stopped at one of Banski wall mural, Jericho tour was ok, stopped for lunch break at a restaurant where food was waiting for us.
If organised coach tours are your thing, then you probably can't go wrong with this. The main guide was excellent, the coach comfortable and the driver very good (including avoiding what could have been a nasty accident when a truck pulled out in front). It was also a good way to tick off these 3 sites in one day. If, however, you're more free spirited & have a bit more time it wouldn't be my first choice. What I didn't like: Souvenir stop - The tour started with a 25 minute stop at the obligatory over priced craft shop, where a 12" wide handcrafted manger scene - although lovely - would set you back $2500, and even ordinary souvenirs were several times the price outside. Time I'd have preferred to have used to wander around Bethlehem, rather than being marched to the Church of the Nativity & back. The advertised visits to the Milk Grotto & Banksy Hotel also did not take place. Lunch - the lunch stop was at a restaurant/souvenir shop complex together with other coach parties. The arranged meal, for which you get a discount voucher, is a buffet. The other restaurant here refuses to accept you unless in a group, an American couple on our bus were quoted 1000 NIS if they wanted a table just for two! Unless you want the buffet, take a packed lunch. Jericho - As it was advertised as a Jericho tour, I wrongly assumed it would include the archaeological site of ancient Jericho, rather than just the Mount of Temptation. The lunch stop is next to the entrance, so you could do this in the lunch break. The places visited on the tour though were all well worth seeing. And as said before, no complaints about the guide, coach & driver.
Dear Traveler, Thank you for sharing your experience with us, Kindly note that the tour starts with a glimpse at the new Bethlehem, passing through the famous Banksy hotel for a short photo stop (time permitting). After that, you’ll visit a local artisanal shop, including a tea/coffee break and a presentation about local Palestinian crafts. The choice of where to have lunch is entirely up to our tourists since it is not included in the trip. In Jericho, as shown on our website our travelers ascend to The Mount Of Temptation. We are glad to hear you had a good tour overall :) Best regards.
