You are heading to the White Tower, the city's most iconic landmark, which is located along the sea promenade and was once part of the city's fortress walls.
You visit the Church of Saint Dimitrios - Patron of Thessaloniki. This is the most important early Christian church of the city and one of the oldest and largest in Greece, dedicated to the city's parton saint, Dimitrios.
The Heptapyrgion, modern Eptapyrgio, also popularly known by its Ottoman Turkish name Yedi Kule. It is a Byzantine and Ottoman-era fortress situated on the north-eastern corner of the Acropolis of Thessaloniki. Then, you walk across the Walls of Thessaloniki learning about Thessaloniki's medieval history and viewing the city from unique spots.
You enrich your knowledge about the Roman history of Thessaloniki making a stop in the Arch of Galerius, which is located at the downtown of the city. This Arch of Triumph with impressive marble sculptures is a Part of the Roman ceasar Galerius complex.

This tour was a disappointment to us. We enjoyed the locations but we're disappointed with the tour guide. This was a small group on a bus. When we stopped to walk to sites the tour guide was in the lead and would talk as he walked, making it impossible to hear all he had to say. When he stopped to address the group he would not wait for us all to be there so that we missed much of the history of the sites. We questioned him on a few things and it seemed he could have been more knowledgeable as some of his facts seemed off. We have typically had much better experiences with Viator tours.

Our tour guide was young and very knowledgeable about the places we visited. Her passion for history and theology brought great new discoveries into the tour. Such a delight. And the driver! These roads are narrow and he navigated like a pro.

Wonderful experience! Perfect for a half day tour. Guide was knowledgeable and friendly. We had time for questions and stops as we wanted. Transport van was comfortable and air conditioned. I am so glad we took this tour.
