Itinerary
We will start at the iconic statue of the Fab four - John, Paul, George and Ringo. This is at a beautiful location at Liverpool's Pier head right on the river Mersey. Surrounded by the historical "3 Graces" buildings there is plenty to see and learn about in this area and some fantastic photo opportunities.
The arts school that John Lennon attended which is next door to the high school that Paul McCartney and George Harrison went to. Here we discuss the early days of the band and look back to their time as the "Quarry Men" and also playing in Hamburg Germany. A Beautiful area of the city centre surrounded by Liverpool's two Cathedrals.
A photograph at the oldest remaining "Penny Lane" road sign that Paul McCartney recently signed. We discuss why Paul wrote the song and what it meant to him amongst other things. Then we will drive down Penny Lane while we of course listen to the song and take in the surroundings that Paul lists in the song.
Johns beautiful song was about a place he used to visit and luckily that place is still there to this day. Now a modern visitors centre, souvenir shop and museum dedicated to John (which is still ran by the Salvation army). We take a walk around the beautiful gardens that John used to frequent and also visit the famous red gates - taking in the surroundings and discussing all things John.
A unique location that has two special areas right next to each other. The place were John and Paul first met as teenagers and also the grave of "Eleanor Rigby".
As a young man John moved to live with his Aunt Mimi in a beautiful house where she raised him. Now owned and preserved by the National Trust.
Home to the McCartney family throughout Paul's teenage years and also the birth place of many of their early hits. Paul and John spent countless hours at this house writing and rehearsing.
Ringo was definitely from humble beginnings and grew up in a place that he holds very close to his heart. We check out his small childhood home and also the stunning painting of him right next to it.
We take a look at the most famous club in the world "The Cavern" from the outside - situated on Mathew Street. The Beatles played here 292 times and it was their home and the place where they gained many of their early followers.
Visit the first home George lived in as a young boy growing up in working class Liverpool and explore his humble beginnings.

Jack Rigby was very knowledgeable and made the Beatles come alive. I am so glad we didn't do one of the big bus tours. The private tour was awesome! It was the best tour of any knid that I've been on. Thanks, Jack!

Thanks for the great review, much appreciated. All the best, Jack.
My husband Dean and I had a fantastic private Beatles tour with Marc. We started at the Beatles statue and then visited Penny Lane and Strawberry Field, along with several other iconic locations connected to the band's history. What made the tour so special was Marc's incredible knowledge and storytelling. He shared fascinating facts, background, and personal details that brought the songs to life in a completely new way. His insights have actually changed the way I listen to Beatles music. I now catch references and meanings that I never understood before. One of my favorite moments was learning the story behind the lyric, "nothing to get hung about" from Strawberry Fields Forever. Now I can't help but giggle every time I hear it. If you're a Beatles fan—or even just curious about their history—I highly recommend taking a tour with Marc. His passion, knowledge, and sense of humor made this an unforgettable experience.
Thanks so much for your kind review. It was great to meet you and share the tour with you. All the best for the future!

I have reached a point in my life where my main goal is to make wonderful memories with the people I love. Jack certainly helped to accomish this.
Adam thank you so much for such a great review. It was great to share both days with you and your family and take you around the city. With you all being such big Beatles fans it made my job all the more enjoyable. Enjoy the rest of your trip, thanks Jack.
Our tour guide was exceptional. He knew all sorts of Beatles history. As our tour progressed he played Beatles music significant to where we were located. I.E. played Penny Lane on Penny Lane road. At the end of the tour he dropped us off at a pub where we enjoyed Fish and Chips, and then walked back to our ship, after he gave us specific directions first. He told us we were lucky doing the tour early for the traffic wasn’t bad. Well done.
Thank you so much for such a great review. I'm glad you enjoyed the tour, it was a pleasure to show you around Thanks Jack.
We only had one day in Liverpool since we took the train up from London. This tour is an absolute must for not only Beatles fans, but also anyone interested in history. Our guide, Mark, rightly told us that you cannot understand the Beatles and their music without understanding Liverpool and our city tour was so insightful. Lots of cool surprises, We then took in all of the Beatles sights and were in no way disappointed. Mark was so knowledgeable and full of personality. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone whether you are staying in Liverpool or just up for a day trip.
Thank you very much for the great review, so glad you enjoyed it.
