Its is a long walk. Make...

Its is a long walk. Make sure you have a full phone charge or a power pack. Mine ran out and was wondering around Berlin lost for a while. Till we found a landmark. As long as you have the above its an interesting way to see the sights.

A well-planned route with engaging stories

The stories in the audio guide were interesting, and the route felt well planned and easy to follow. Everything worked smoothly for me, the app was intuitive, and I didn’t experience any technical issues at all. In the end, it felt like nothing more was needed. Personally, I find audio guides more convenient than guided tours, as you can always replay parts and don’t miss information because of language or background noise.

Operator response

We hope this Berlin walk is just one of many journeys with TouringBee, and that our audio guides will accompany you again in other cities and countries on your future travels.

Great expirience

Great guide Francesca ! She was so knowledgeable with so much unknown facts. We walked over 10000 steps and gave us bathroom breaks.

Great way to learn about Berlin

I booked two adults the night before we were planning on using it, and I wasn't sure how to get it set up on my partner's phone. I sent an email to support@touringbee.com late at night but got a helpful response straight away! It might be helpful to others to mention the support address somewhere on the tour description, as I only found that address by seeing it in a response to a previous review. The tour is estimated to take 2 hours, but it actually took us about 4, not including our pitstop for lunch, so take into consideration that it might take longer than you think (I don't think we were dragging our heels either!). We opted for a self guided tour over a standard group walking tour as we wanted a bit more freedom and this did just that, allowing us to take an impromptu lunch break when we passed a restaurant that caught our eye. The app froze during our lunch, but after closing and reopening, it resumed from where we left off. No faults with the GPS and we were able to follow the map quite easily, although I would have liked the the option for the map to stay oriented North, rather than having it move directionally. We also found the AI voiceover delivery was a bit too theatrical at times, but the content itself was really interesting, and covered things my partner and I had wondered while wandering around the day before. Overall, it was a really smooth experience and highly recommend! We will definitely be looking into taking another audio tour in a different location.

Worst online tour company. Waste of money

My wife paid for this”self guided tour”. The link to download the tour did not work. Useless instructions. Support line is voicemail that will reply “in 72 hours” for the tour we had booked but could not use. AVOID

Operator response

We’re sorry to hear about your experience. It seems you wrote to the wrong place — we don't have voicemail, and we always respond quickly to all inquiries. Please write to us at support@touringbee.com, and we will definitely help you activate your audio guide. You can still use it — it will be available for one year from the date of purchase.

Great way to see the highlights!

Great way to see some of the main tourist spots in the city, without the big crowd of an organised tour. Can do at own pace, spending as little or as much time as you want in the different places.

Operator response

Glad to hear you enjoyed exploring the city at your own pace! That’s exactly the kind of flexibility we aim to offer with our self-guided tours — no rush, no crowd, just your own rhythm. Hope to see you on another route soon!

disappointment

the choice of sites was not always interesting and lacks architectural and historical description of the monument

Operator response

Good tour but improve the app.

We loved the concept of the self guided mobile tour. And for the most part it was informative, entertaining and enjoyable But, the app experience is bit weak. It froze a couple of times and had to be rebooted. Also the gps feature which is a fantastic idea was inaccurate at times. The genius of this self guided mobile tour is the technology. The technology needs improvement. Maybe list out the walking directions along with the gps guidance to help when it is lacking. Overall, it was worth the cost and benefit of doing at your own pace, even with the frustrating moments.

Operator response

We're really pleased that you enjoyed the flexibility and content of the self-guided tour — that’s exactly what TouringBee aims to offer. At the same time, we truly regret that app performance and occasional GPS inaccuracy made the experience less smooth than it should have been. You’re absolutely right: the success of a self-guided mobile tour depends heavily on the reliability of the technology. Your idea to include written walking directions alongside GPS is an excellent one, and we’ll seriously consider it as we continue refining the app. Even with the hiccups, we’re glad you felt the experience was still worth it. We hope you'll consider giving TouringBee another try in the future — and that next time we’ll deliver a smoother, five-star experience.

Great way to get to know Berlin!

I used an audio guide to explore the city, and it was such a great way to get to know Berlin! The guide covered everything from the Berlin Wall to Checkpoint Charlie, and the stories were fascinating. I liked how I could walk at my own pace and stop wherever I wanted to take photos or grab a coffee. The guide also pointed out some lesser-known spots, which I wouldn’t have discovered on my own. It was easy to follow, but some parts felt a bit long.
