Itinerary
Early morning pick up from your hotel in Bangalore and get driven to Belur. The Chennakeshava Temple in Belur was constructed on the orders of "Vishnuvadhana" the Hoysala king himself to celebrate an important military victory in 1117 AD against the Cholas in battle of Talakad. the king wanted an extraordinary temple, and has been built in an architectural style (Hoysala Style) which was new to the region. The monument is exceptionally large and its decoration is very lavish. The decorations for this temple still continued after the king by his various successors over a time period of nearly 103 years.
Halebidu city was then known as Dwarasamudra (gateway to the seas). The height of Hoysalan art and architecture is inherited in the temple of Hoysaleshvara at Halebidu. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Also opposite to the temple is a big statue of Nandi. It took more than eighty years to construct partially and was left uncompleted. The temple is richly ornamented with most intricately carvings. The wall inscriptions include endless display of gods, human, animals and images of war, hunting, music, and dance. Finally we drive back to Bangalore to end this day long tour

Fascinating Heritage which can be explored in a day from Bangalore!. Comfortable pickup on time and then you are taken to the breathtaking temples of "Hoysala" era. The finely crafted temple pillars make you certainly wonder whether the temples are machine lathe cut!

My wife and I had an excellent experience working with Mr. Jai Singh. We were staying at a hotel not mentioned in his list of pick up sites, but Mr. Singh promptly responded to our request and had his driver pick us up at our hotel for a nominal charge. The vehicle was comfortable and the driver excellent. He knew the locations well. Overall, we had a memorable experience.
