Itinerary

15 min

After pickup, your guide will take you to Pionirski Park, a green oasis in the very heart of Belgrade. Surrounded by key institutions such as the National Parliament, the Old and New Palaces. From this central spot, you’ll start to understand how layers of history, power, and everyday life overlap in the Serbian capital. Instead of a checklist of facts, this stop gives you a clear mental map of Belgrade — why the city feels the way it does today, how it was shaped, and what makes it different from other European capitals — setting the tone for everything that follows.

Pass by

You’ll continue along Prince Miloš Obrenović Street, one of Belgrade’s key historic avenues. As you drive through this elegant part of the city, you’ll pass embassies, ministries, and stately buildings that reflect Belgrade’s role as a political and diplomatic center, smoothly leading you toward the next part of the tour.

Pass by

The tour continues to Dedinje, Belgrade’s most prestigious residential area. As you drive through this elegant neighborhood, you’ll pass refined villas and diplomatic residences that define its calm, exclusive atmosphere. The drive concludes with a brief stop in front of the White Palace, where your guide provides context about its role and significance while you view the complex from outside.

Admission not included45 min

The tour continues in Dedinje, once home to Josip Broz Tito, the long-time leader of former Yugoslavia. Today, his former residence forms part of the Museum of Yugoslavia complex, including the House of Flowers, Tito’s final resting place. As you explore the House of Flowers, your guide will help you understand Yugoslavia through stories rather than slogans — touching on Tito’s legacy, the cult surrounding him, the contradictions of his rule, and what everyday life was like during that era. Note: The Museum of Yugoslavia is closed on Mondays.

45 min

The next stop is the Church of Saint Sava, one of the largest Orthodox churches in the world and a true landmark of Belgrade. Its monumental scale is impressive even before you step inside, while the vast interior and shimmering decoration create a powerful sense of space and atmosphere. During the visit, your guide will explain who Saint Sava was and why he remains the most important figure in the Serbian Orthodox Church — helping you understand the cultural and spiritual meaning of this place, not just its size.

45 min

From the Church of Saint Sava, you’ll continue to Republic Square, the very heart of the city and Belgrade’s most famous meeting point. Surrounded by landmarks such as the National Theatre, the National Museum, and the monument to Prince Mihailo Obrenović, this square offers a clear snapshot of Belgrade’s cultural life. From here, the tour continues on foot along Knez Mihailova Street, the city’s main pedestrian zone. As you stroll through the historic center, your guide will share stories, legends, and everyday details that bring this lively street and its elegant architecture to life.

30 min

The walk concludes in the area of King Peter Street, one of Belgrade’s oldest and most atmospheric streets. Nearby, you’ll find the city’s oldest restaurant, Kafana ?, as well as the Cathedral Church of St. Michael the Archangel, an important spiritual landmark of the city. The tour ends on a relaxed note — over a drink or light snack inside the authentic interior of Kafana ?, where you’ll sum up your exploration of Belgrade and experience a piece of local tradition in the same place where generations of Belgraders have gathered.

Dragan was a great local tour guide! We really enjoyed everything and we hope you and your team keep doing this and having fun! We really appreciate the help from Serbian Private Tours team that helped us to arrange everything from/back to Timisoara in such a short notice. Hopefully we will be able to visit Belgrade and Serbia again in the future!

The Best Tour Guide Ever!

The tour around Belgrade with Andrija was like a history lesson. His knowledge about the history of Belgrade was enlightening. There wasn’t a question we asked that he couldn’t answer. He was flexible with the schedule and made sure the tour was catered to our interests. If you are interested in a tour of Belgrade make sure Andrija is your guard. You are guaranteed a special day!

Great tour.

We loved the experience, Andrew tried all he could considering it was very cold and windy. But he worked hard to show us everything he could and was super informative. Would love to do it again in spring or summer.

Excellent Personalized Tour

We had an excellent tour with Vlad who was knowledgable and exceptionally courteous. We felt well taken care of throughout the tour. It was fascinating to learn about Serbian history, especially Tito, who is such an enigmatic figure. We finally got an understanding of how a dictator could be loved by many of the people. Highly recommended!

Australians in Belgrade

We had an amazing, knowledgeable guide. Picked us up just before the agreed time from the agreed place. We visited the Tito Museum and the magnificent temple. Along the way we were shown various palaces, national parks and embassies. We walked the main shopping mall and the square. A day we’ll spent in Belgrave

Exceptional Team Experience in Belgrade!

Thank you, Serbian Private Tours, and especially our guide Andrija, for three wonderful days in Belgrade. Everything was perfectly organized, and Andrija's knowledge of the city, its history, and his recommendations for places to explore during our free time were exceptional. If our team plans another event in Serbia, we’ll only be reaching out to this company!

Best way to see Belgrade

We totally enjoyed spending the day with Milijan Miljevic. We saw all of Belgrade, but the highlights for me was the Church of Saint Sava....I am over seeing churches, but this one was so special. All the mosaic tiles used on the ceiling walls and floors was spectacular! and the House of flowers where Tito was buried. There was so much to see and Milijan was so informative.
