Itinerary
Wander through Kalemegdan Park, where nature and history intertwine, and take in the stunning views from the Victor Monument, positioned high above the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, offering one of the city’s most spectacular panoramas. Walking from Student's Square, an educational hub of the Serbian capital, Uzun Mirko's Street will lead you to the remarkable fortress consisting of layers from different epochs. A relaxing walk from Kalemegdan Park to the Victor Monument will be the cherry on top – an unforgettable view over the city and Sava and Danube rivers.
A popular gathering place for locals and visitors alike. This bustling square offers a glimpse into the city’s rich cultural heritage and serves as a focal point for both tourists and residents.
Cross the river into Zemun, a charming district with a distinctly European atmosphere. Stroll along its cobblestone streets, admire its baroque architecture, and embrace the lively ambiance of the Danube Promenade. Take a moment to relax at a local café or restaurant and savor the fusion of Mediterranean and Central European flavors that define this picturesque riverside area.
Discover the diverse architectural landscape of Belgrade, beginning with New Belgrade, a district influenced by the communist and socialist eras. This area features landmarks like the Palace of Serbia, Genex Tower, and Brutalist designs. As you explore further, pass iconic sites such as the Belgrade Arena, Sava Center and cross the Gazelle Bridge to experience how the city has evolved through its distinct architectural periods.
Pass by the memorial complex dedicated to the history of Yugoslavia and Josip Broz Tito, a leader who championed unity, solidarity, and peace.
See Dedinje, a prestigious district known for its grand villas, embassies, and historical landmarks. You'll also catch sight of the iconic stadiums of FC Red Star, former Champions League winners, and FC Partizan.
Next, arrive at the iconic Saint Sava Temple, a stunning symbol of Belgrade with its white and gold exterior that shines brightly in the sunlight. A dominant feature in the Belgrade skyline, the temple reflects the deep Christian Orthodox faith of the Serbian people. Enjoy an enlightening tour inside with your guide.
Pass by Slavija Square, once a duck hunting ground a century ago, and see the remnants of the Serbian General Staff building, destroyed in the 1999 NATO bombing.
As you approach the heart of Belgrade, you'll pass through a central administrative area, featuring the grand Serbian National Parliament, along with the Old and New Courts, which serve as the residences of the City Parliament and the President.

Interesting tour, we saw everything listed in description, appreciated the pickup and drop off at hotel
We had a lot of fun on the city tour. We saw a lot and heard about the history of Belgrade. We were able to ask a lot of questions and also got some more tips for our stay. It was great
We had a very exciting day with Jelica as our tour guide. She is extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable about historical, cultural, and religious matters. Her English is superb.
I had emailed to book a place on the walk and turned up at the appointed time, in the right location. 15 minutes after we were due to start I called the office to see what was happening. I was told that they would give the Guide a call and they'd text me back, which they did, saying that he would not be coming as he had an upset stomach. While sympathetic to the Guide, he should have called the office to tell them that he would not be at work, as they knew that at least one person, ie, me, would be there to go on the tour. Very unprofessional. I had previously been in touch, to enquire about the Red Communist tour. The price quoted was €80. I have done a number of such tours, often with just me and the Guide, in a number of former Communist countries and never have I paid more than €35. They offered to reduce the cost to €50 but this was still too much, so I declined. By accident, I came across a Guide from Belgrade Walking Tours, who was doing a Communist Yugoslavia tour, including transport to the Museum of Yugoslavia and access to the Museum. The cost, €10. He was excellent and knowledgeable and is highly recommended. Unlike Belgrade Free Walking Tours.
It’s a great way to see the city and different areas of Belgrade. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and also shared how Serbians pronounce names and also the similarities of Serbian female names. Definitely worth your time and was more than happy to leave a Tip
Victor was a very knowledgeably guide and the tour was great and we got a great overview of the city.
