Belfast Troubles History Private Taxi Tour

Description
You'll gain a wealth of knowledge from someone who was born and reared and still lives in the community where the tour takes place, 17 years of experience giving the tours. I am 1 of 5 tour guides in the whole of Belfast that can say this. You will experience both sides of the community where the conflict took place, an unbiased tour and lots of colorful murals that depict the struggles along the way, where you can sign the famous peace wall and you'll have plenty of photo opportunities. This tour is a great experience for the whole family and will take you back in time right up to the present day. Tour is 90 minutes of history, learning and plenty of "craic" (laughter) along the way.

I went on this tour with a friend. I'm from out of town, and my friend is from the Belfast area, and we both really enjoyed the tour. The guide was knowledgable and shared both historical information/facts and some of his own family's lived experiences. Highly recommend!
I had an exceptional experience, and a big part of what made it so memorable was my host, Diarmaid. From the very beginning, he was approachable, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. His delivery was objective and informative, allowing us to gain a genuine understanding of the local history, culture, and attractions without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. What really stood out was Diarmaid's passion for the local area. His enthusiasm was infectious, and it was clear that he genuinely enjoys sharing his knowledge and helping visitors appreciate everything the region has to offer. His insights added so much value to my experience and gave us a deeper appreciation about the troubles. I would recommend this experience to anyone looking for an authentic, informative, and enjoyable stay. Thank you, Diarmaid, for making my trip.
Thanks for the lovely review. Really glad you enjoyed your tour.
Well what a great experience & it was all due to our guide Dermot( pronounced Jermot). Thought I had a good knowledge of what had occurred but I was so far from the mark. If you come to Belfast please book Jermot in advance because he will be booked out.
Thanks for the lovely review. Glad you enjoyed your tour.
Great tour. An educational insight on "the troubles" hearing both sides of the story. Our driver was catholic and gave an honest respectful answers regarding protestant questions. Very genuine guy Diarmaid (Dermod). Highly recommend.

Kiel was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and interesting! We learned a lot about the history of Northern Ireland and the Troubles, including what it was like growing during the Troubles.
Glad you enjoyed the tour and thanks for the lovely review.
Excellent experience offering a very rounded view on The Troubles. Extremely informative & exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much Diarmald.
Thanks for the kind review. Glad you enjoyed the tour.
We toured Belfast with Caolan. First off, he’s a great guy. He was on time, super friendly, and accommodating. When our son had a minor issue, everything stopped until his issue was attended to - with zero complaint. We appreciated that. Beyond that, Coalan was personally involved and affected by the Troubles, so he was telling us personal stories not just reciting history books. It added an interesting angle to the tour. We had a great time - and ended the trip with hugs. Amazing experience.
Thanks for the lovely review. Glad your issue was resolved and that you enjoyed the tour. Thanks again.
Our driver was Diarmaid and he was amazing!!!! What a fantastic tour - he was very informative. On time, nothing too much trouble, transport was lovely and clean! Very highly recommended the tour and hope you get Diarmaid. Thank you!!!

Nice tour through Belfast, with the perspective of a local. It was a rainy day so I was glad I didn’t opt for the walking tour. Good value for the service. Diarmaid knows his stuff.
Thanks for the kind review. Glad you enjoyed the tour.
