Visitará el malecón tarapaca,que es el Boulevard principal de iquitos,donde verá grandes edificios que fueron construidos durante la época dorada de iquitos,el auge del caucho a finales del siglo XIX. Desde ese lugar haremos una pequeña caminata hacia el mercado de Belén.
El mercado de Belén es el mercado local exótico mas grande de iquitos, alli experimentará el sabor local y verá como vive la población local.El mercado ofrece muchos productos amazónicos como:carne de lagarto,jabalí,venado,peces gatos,pirañas,frutas exóticas etc. también hay una mercado de plantas medicinales conocido como:El Pasaje Paquito que ofrecen hiebas,cortezas,raíces,tragos afrodisíacos etc.
Luego viajaremos a la ciudad Flotante de Belén adyecente al mercado de Belén. Verá vistas espectaculares del río Itaya( un gran afluente de aguas claras del rio amazonas) La ciudad Flotante esta construida enteramente sobre el agua y,dependiendo del nivel del río y la época del año,es posible que vea las estructuras de soportes de madera debajo de la ciudad que esta anclado bajo el agua en el lecho del río también verá a la población local que viven y trabajan ahi y las construcciones de sus famosas casas flotantes y otras construcciones mas modernas también. Por ahi pasarán muchas embarcaciones de diferentes tamaños que transportan a pescadores,cazadores,y comerciantes

Kelwin is very good guild. He knew everything thing. He sent us message before the tour. If you are coming to Iquitos, the market tour is a must do.
Excellent experience with Kelwin. Booking super smooth and he was ready to start on time. He gives really helpful pre-briefs on what is about to happen as we move through the different sections of his tour. Kelwin offered a personalised tour, was able to give us authentic insights in the market and on the boat tour. He was genuinely interested in our interests and was able to share lots with us on local dynamics. A brilliant tour guide with easy English that showed us so much in just 2.5 hours. Highly recommended.
Kelwin was the ideal guide for my wife and I on our second day in Iquitos. Booked him the afternoon before a 9am start, he gave clear communication beforehand and was 100% ready to go on time. I really appreciated his quick briefs before each transition from walking down the historic river front, exploring the market, boat trip, jungle medicine lane and the tuk tuk back to centre. Kelwin was knowledgeable, engaging, personable and clear over the 2.5hrs; giving us so much more than wondering around ourselves. We really like the authentic hiring of the boat and tuk tuk, these were not part of his one man business but fact just the next one available for us to grab. Lots of memories and happy to have booked, highly recommended.

Kelvin was an absolute gem. From the moment we arrived at the Belén Market, he made us feel completely at ease — like we were exploring with a friend, not a stranger. As a true local, he brought the market to life in a way no guidebook could: the exotic jungle fruits, the traditional Amazonian medicines, the sights and smells that hit you from every direction. The boat ride through the Floating City was the highlight — seeing how entire families live on the rising and falling waters of the Itaya River was something I’ll never forget. Kelvin’s knowledge, warmth, and genuine pride in his home made this one of the best experiences of our trip. Would book with him again without hesitation, and encourage anyone visiting Iquitos to do the same.
My husband and I had an amazing experience on the Belen Market & Floating City tour (we booked through GetYourGuide) and it was all thanks to Kelwin. This tour takes you through the incredible Belén market and then out onto the floating city, giving you a real insight into local life in Iquitos. From the start, Kelwin was friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. You can tell he’s a genuine local who really understands the area and the people. He explained everything so clearly, answered all our questions, and shared loads of interesting details we never would have picked up on our own. Walking through the market could feel overwhelming without a guide, but with Kelwin we felt completely comfortable and safe the entire time. The boat trip through the floating city was a real highlight. If you’re visiting Iquitos, this is an absolute must-do — and I can’t recommend Kelwin highly enough - he also helped us with an Amazon day trip which we were struggling to find. 10/10 experience!
I booked this trip the same morning and Kelwin was able to do it despite short notice, I had a great day in the market, the floating island and also booked another trip with him in the afternoon. He was accommodating, has great knowledge, excellent English and is a lovely company. I'd definitely recommend him.

Seeing Belem market and the floating city is an experience not to be missed of you visit Iquitos. Unfortunately, we were not able to tour with Kelwin as planned due to a mix-up with the reservation app (we had to change date of the tour and got confirmation from the app of our change. Unfortunately the change did not get sent to Kelwin) We showed up at the agreed meeting point and luckily a colleague of Kelwin was able to connect us to him by phone. We had no option but to tour with Rosendo who took good care of us, however, we really could not get answers to our many questions about all that we were seeing. Our limited Spanish and his limited English made conversation and information exchange frustrating. Still, it was a memorable experience.
Kelwin was so personable, like hanging with a friend, and extremely knowledgeable. As a solo female, I 100% recommend.
