Beijing Great Wall Private Day Tour from Shanghai by Bullet Train

We had a wonderful experience with our tour guide, Summer. She was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing China's rich history with us. Her explanations of the different Chinese dynasties and how they were connected to the construction and significance of the Great Wall were both engaging and informative. We learned so much and truly enjoyed every moment of the tour. Beyond her excellent knowledge, Summer took great care of our family throughout the trip. She was attentive, thoughtful, and always willing to help. She also took the initiative to recommend several family-friendly places for us to visit, which made our trip even more enjoyable. One of the highlights was her recommendation and assistance in booking a local Peking duck restaurant. It was less touristy, very reasonably priced, and the food was absolutely delicious—one of the best meals we had during our stay. Thank you, Summer, for making our trip so memorable. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for an informative, enjoyable, and well-cared-for travel experience in China.

Although I was hesitant to take this 18 hours tour from Shanghai, I'm so glad I didn't miss out on this amazing Great Wall experience! From the hotel pickup to drop off, everything was perfectly planned. My guide Summer was excellent. She went over some history on the way to the wall and helped me get extra time along the wall by picking up late lunch for the car ride back. Later, she even dropped me off inside the station and helped me order dinner for my train ride. Such a sweet, caring person!!! Highly recommend this tour.

Had an absolutely great time. Sunny helped navigate and set up the whole experience with ease, and I was paired with my Tour Guide, Helen, who was absolutely fantastic. She aside from being able to structure the tight schedule made sure that it was an enjoyable one and was beyond knowledgeable and kind in sharing so much historical information and facts about Beijing, The Great Wall, and China overall. Would definitely recommend this to anyone and would love to work with them again on a future trip to the Beijing area. So grateful because I definitely would not have been able to coordinate this otherwise without them. Such a wonderful memory.

The arrangement that Sunny made for the experience was perfect. From the hotel pick up to the drop at the bullet train. Then the arrival at Beijing. The day was beautifull and enjoyable. Our driver picked us up right from our hotel in Shanghai and personally walked us into the train station and onto the train, making sure we were settled into our seats. When we arrived in Beijing, Sunny and her driver were waiting for us right at the station exit, which made everything seamless. From the moment we met her, Sunny stood out—she is warm, engaging, and genuinely fun to spend the day with. The drive to the Great Wall was relaxing, and she shared interesting history and insights about China in a way that felt natural and never overwhelming. After a quick lunch, Sunny guided us along the wall at a pace that felt perfect for us. She was incredibly attentive, checked in often, and made sure we were comfortable the entire time. She also took amazing photos and videos—honestly some of our favorites from the whole trip—and knew all the best spots. What really made the day special was Sunny herself. She has such a positive, easygoing personality that made everything feel effortless and enjoyable. It never felt rushed or overly structured—just a really great day with a fantastic guide. At the end of the day, everything was just as smooth—she made sure we got to our train at the Beijing station, and when we arrived in Shanghai, our driver was already waiting to take us back to our hotel. If you’re staying in Shanghai and want a stress-free, well-organized, and genuinely enjoyable way to see the Great Wall, this is absolutely the way to do it. Highly recommend!

It's a big day out but worth the experience. Our guide Leo was extremely good and did his best to ensure that our experience was a good one. He greeted us off the train and took us back to the train on our return. We had poor weather at The Great Wall, but not much anyone could do about that.
