Important Information

- Guests should be able to carry a minimum of 30 pounds for a short distance.
- After diving you must wait 18 hours to fly or ascend to 1,000 feet or more.
- Guests must be comfortable swimming independently in the ocean to complete this tour. If you book this tour but cannot swim, you forfeit your participation in the experience as well as your right to a refund.
- Must be able to answer NO to each question on the Medical Statement. A YES answer requires a doctor clearance. Failure to secure a doctor clearance when needed forfeits the ability to dive and the right to a refund. Please contact Banyan Tree Divers ahead of time for a copy of the medical form if you have any health concerns that might affect your ability to dive.

5 Stars! Shane was amazing and a very thorough and easy to understand teacher. The beach had surprisingly good wildlife including eagle rays and good corral reef formations. Highly recommended.

Simon was phenomenal! My boyfriend and I were first time divers and Simon was extremely knowledgeable and made us feel so comfortable in the water!!! Definitely the highlight of my trip!
This was an amazing experience! My wife was very scared about going under the ocean, but Shane was super nice and made this experience very enjoyable for the both of us! Highly recommend it! We also saw so many fish, a sea turtle, eagle ray, and we got to hear the whales sounds 👌
We went with a group of 5, 2 of which had never dived. Shane was an excellent instructor and had us all under water in no time. After the first dive we were offered to go for a second dive at the turtle and shark location. It was absolutely amazing there. Definitely the highlight of our trip. Would absolutely recommend to anyone regardless of your diving experience.
Kevin did a great job making the learning process fun and comfortable, especially for my friends who had never gone SCUBA diving before. Compared to other beginner experiences I've had, the pre-dive training was relatively short, yet sufficiently thorough that I felt safe and comfortable. All of the skills were taught first on land, then practiced in the water, before we explored the coral reef. I appreciate that this dive gave us a taste of diving without making it a grueling half-day event that feels like the first day of a full PADI training. On the other hand, because we went diving from the beach, not from a boat, it was not very deep. Most of what we saw I had already seen snorkeling. Still, we did get up close to schools of fish in a way that is just not possible without SCUBA gear. We also saw a large sea turtle. I only wish we had had time to do another, more ambitious, dive with them later in the week. Maui is a great place to go diving, but it's hard to schedule if you also plan to go zip-lining, driving/biking on the mountains, or flying between islands, as you cannot do anything at altitude within 18 hours of scuba diving, so plan carefully.

Honestly, some of the most amazing sea life resides in the first 10-30 feet of water making Maui an excellent place to dive for beginners. Booked this last minute and so glad I did. I’ve never been scuba diving but it was on my bucket list. I love snorkeling and seeing sea turtles and other sea creatures. Shane was amazing, he was very knowledgeable and explained things simply. We went on two dives and I can’t even count how many turtles we saw, stunning coral and even 4 sharks! Would highly recommend this for anyone comfortable in the water. Only took about a couple minutes to get used to the breathing. Just do it and have fun!
