Great experience. I learned and I are what more could you ask for in this day and time. The instructor was engaging and patient.
Fantastic and informative experience, well worth the time. Had a lot of fun with the teacher and fellow travelers! Make sure you look at the accurate location-it’s at the store location heading up to San Blas, not near the main town square.
It was a nice class but a bit confusing at the beginning from the receptionist. It's not easy grinding chocolate beans, but i had a great time. It's not something that I would do again though..
I love chocolate but didn’t know much about it. This class was informative, hands on and hilarious! Our group and instructor were so much fun. It was a blast and is highly recommended.
This class was very educational. Had alot if fun learning and tasting different chocolates. You can also buy some great chocolate here
If you love chocolate this is the experience for you. Learning the process of making chocolate and then getting to create your own unique chocolate bars.
We took an evening class in making chocolate that was booked for us by our tour company. There were approximately 12 people in our class, so it was a little crowded. The instructor was very informative and took us through the various steps from roasting the beans to grinding them with a mortar and pestle and making hot chocolate. He let us try various types of chocolates and then gave us some melted chocolate to pour into molds and add flavorings if desired. The class lasted approximately 2.5-3 hours. Our only minor criticism is that even though everyone used hand sanitizer at the beginning of the class, it was a lot of peoples hands involved in the process and maybe not the best choice if you are a germophobe.
Took our class with Benjamin who was lovely. It was a lot of fun learning about chocolate from bean to bar. Favorite fun fact was learning about white chocolate and understanding why it tastes so much better when it has cocoa butter instead of vegetable oil but my favorite part of the whole experience was getting to make my own chocolate. Would definitely recommend this to other travelers who are looking for a fun activity in Cusco!
In our three days of acclimation in Cusco prior to the Inca Trail Trek with Alpaca Expeditions we chose to stay low key and just explore the town of Cusco. My favorite experience there was the ChocoMuseo chocolate class. Antonio was a passionate, knowledgeable and fun teacher. I would highly recommend requesting him. We spent two hours learning about chocolate, touching, tasting, and making chocolate. The time went by fast, we learned a lot, had a lot of fun, and ate some yummy chocolate. I brought mine home for the family to try. They were booked on their website but I was able to get the time I wanted on Viator for only a few dollars more. It was well worth the money and time.
Great experience..Learned alot.. Tasted alot..Had alot of fun.. And made delicious chocolate treats for the road..
