Enjoyable trip.

Nice boat, Friendly Deckhand. Some of the poles were a little worn out but still had a good time. Took the six o'clock tour so we got a boat ride, fishing, and a sunset on the bay.

Operator response

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! We’re so glad you enjoyed the boat ride, the beautiful sunset, and had a great time fishing with our friendly crew. We also appreciate you mentioning the condition of some of the fishing poles. Your feedback is valuable, and we’ll inspect and replace any equipment that needs attention to keep everything in top shape. We hope to welcome you back aboard again soon for another memorable evening on the bay! 🎣🌅🚤

It helps if you have ever...

It helps if you have ever fished before. Knowing how to fish in freshwater vs. saltwater is different.

Operator response

Thank you for your feedback! Saltwater fishing can definitely be a little different from freshwater, and we appreciate you pointing that out. Our crew is always happy to help guests of all experience levels with baiting hooks, casting, and offering tips throughout the trip. We hope you’ll join us again for another fun day on the water! 🎣

You and me going fishing in the bay

The crew was fun, informative, and very friendly. If not everyone on the boat, about 90% of us caught at least 1 fish. You can keep your catch and they will even clean it for you back at the docks. VERY KID FRIENDLY!

Operator response

Thank you, Desiree! We are so happy to know that you enjoyed your bay fishing trip!

Not Good

Went 2 times. One morning and one evening. Both times we fished with shrimp for bottom feeders. Caught many catfish that all had to be thrown back. Can't remember the name of the keepers but they were all small around a pound or less. there were 3 people in our group and we caught 1 fish total. A catfish. 20 - 25 people on the boat. Fishing off coast of Panama City Beach - Destin Florida is 1000% better.

Operator response

Thank you for fishing with us twice and for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear the fishing wasn’t as productive as you had hoped. Fishing success can vary significantly based on weather, tides, water conditions, and seasonal fish patterns, and unfortunately there are days when the fish simply don’t cooperate. Our bay fishing trips are designed to be family-friendly and beginner-friendly, targeting a variety of local species. While catfish and smaller keeper fish can certainly be part of the catch, they’re not always what anglers are hoping for. We understand how disappointing it can be when the action isn’t as strong as expected, especially after joining us on two separate trips. Different fisheries offer different experiences, and destinations like Panama City Beach and Destin benefit from different water depths, habitats, and target species than we have here in the Laguna Madre. We appreciate your honest feedback and will continue working to provide the best possible experience for our guests. We hope you’ll consider trying one of our offshore or deep-sea fishing trips in the future, where anglers often have opportunities to target larger species and enjoy a different type of fishing experience. Thank you again for giving us a try, and we wish you tight lines on your next adventure. 🎣

Just ok...

Didn't have enough poles for ALL passengers. Other families fighting for best spots and grabbed up poles... my teens were first timers and didn't know it would be a fight for space and supplies. Dave and Michael are nice but they knew how many people would be on board in advance. They're should have been enough poles for everyone OR a limit on how many each family could have. Also didn't know we'd have to throw back catfish prior to boarding... that's all we caught. It was an overall ok experience but for what we paid, we expected to ALL be able to fish.

Operator response

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear your experience did not meet expectations. Our goal is for every guest to have an enjoyable fishing trip, especially first-time anglers. We typically stock enough fishing equipment for our passengers, and we apologize if there was confusion regarding rod availability during your trip. We will review boarding procedures with our crew to ensure equipment is distributed fairly and that all guests have an opportunity to fish. Regarding the catfish, Texas fishing regulations and our trip guidelines require certain species and undersized fish to be released, which is standard practice on guided fishing trips. While we cannot control what species are biting on any given day, we understand it can be disappointing when the fish you catch cannot be kept. We appreciate your kind words about Dave and Michael and will share your comments with them. Guest feedback helps us improve, and we hope you’ll give us another opportunity to provide a better experience in the future.
