Opt for the Presidential Tour

We opted for the Presidential tour, which visited the rooms where FDR stayed while on the ship. The tour was well worth the cost. Our guide, Rich, was interesting and knowledgeable about everything having to do with the history of the ship and history in general. Because our tour group was only two people, we spent more time than we would have otherwise and didn’t have time to visit the rest of the ship because of time constraints. Be sure to allow enough time. The parking lot is beyond confusing, with no directional signs in or out. It is made more confusing because cruise passengers use the lot to board the cruise ships so you have people milling about, with luggage, and no clue where they are going.
