Spectacular day filled with lovely wines, journeys to various small towns, and the most enjoyable and knowledgeable host, Giovanni. As a wine producer from his family owned vineyard, Giovanni guides you through all you need to know about the various wines of the region along with a special stop at his vineyard and family country home for the final tasting of the day. This is an experience not to be missed. Chin chin!!
We had an amazing Barolo and Barbaresco wine experience with Marco—truly a 5-star day from start to finish. Marco was fantastic: punctual, professional, friendly, and very funny. His communication before and during the tour was excellent, which made everything easy and stress-free. What really made this experience stand out is that Marco is a farmer himself. That gave us a much more authentic and personal insight into the region—far from the typical “factory winery” feel. You can tell he genuinely lives and breathes this world, and his passion really comes through. We visited two wonderful wineries and learned so much about the region, the wines, and the traditions. Everything was explained in a way that was both interesting and easy to follow. We also added the truffle hunting experience, which was a highlight and made the day even more special and unique. Overall, an incredible, authentic experience that we would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.
We had with Marco a very competent and knowledgeable Tourgide! Highly recommended. also the recommended restaurant with good value performance and the truffle pagetti !
Fantastic day with Giovanni and Marco. Their own winery is beautiful and a great selection of wines. We then visited a small winery in Babaresco, followed by lunch (with incredible view) in La Morra. The afternoon was then spent with some stopping points, with lots of information and knowledge. Then we visited another family winery in Barolo. A lot of wine, and a lot of very good wine!
This tour is a must do! Giovanni and Marco were amazing hosts. We toured several local vineyards and tasted many delicious wines. Giovanni and Marco were extremely knowledgeable, considerate and hilarious. We learned about local wine varieties, history and the process of vitoculture, and they even facilitated shipping home some wines we purchased from the vineyards we visited.
Good local experience from local winery Would have liked a little more history and local culture shared The lunch was great at a local Osteria The wine we tasted was good
amazing tour, learned a lot about grape growing and wine making and tried some great small productions, marco's a great dude.
Marco was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable about the Piemonte region. Marco’s family owns a winery in Asti. We started the tour there where he showed us around the facility and we saw the wine cellar. Then tried several wines from his vineyard. Then headed to a short Barbaresco tasting. Then we had lunch at a nice casual spot in La Morra. We pulled over on the way to the last winery to see a beautiful viewpoint of the region. The last stop was in the Barolo region and we had a wonderful tasting and walked through the vineyards and even got to taste some of the grapes. We were lucky that it was harvest season! We enjoyed leaning more about the wines of the regions and enjoying the scenery. I highly recommend this tour!
We had a fantastic experience with Marco on this tour! We especially appreciated how accommodating he was even with being the start of the busy harvest season. He explained everything very well and taught us a lot about the wines of the region. We went to 3 wineries, including his, and also had the option to stop for lunch. Highly recommend!
Marco, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable as well as super nice. After this tour I feel much more confident about different vines thank to Marco! Strongly recommend this tour!
