This full-day excursion from Bariloche covers 352 kilometers through the Nahuel Huapi and Lanín National Parks, starting from Bariloche along National Route 237 and traveling along the eastern end of Lake Nahuel Huapi to the Limay River. Continuing along National Route 231, we border the lake along its northern shore up to Villa La Angostura, where we take a short break, to continue on our way to Lakes Espejo, Correntoso, Escondido, Villarino, Falkner, Machónico, and Lácar, on the shores of which the city of San Martín de los Andes is located. The return to San Carlos de Bariloche is by the same route. - Discover Villa La Angostura, a charming mountain village that will envelop you with its Andean charm and architecture. - As you cross the Seven Lakes Route, you will encounter the fascinating beauty of the lakes. - Each of the lakes has a unique charm, surrounded by ancient forests that whisper stories of yesteryear.

Leaving from Bariloche, you will travel along the path of the seven lakes that will dazzle you with incomparable landscapes throughout its journey.
You will get to know Villa La Angostura, a true mountain village, characterized by its typical Andean architecture.
The largest of the water bodies of the Route of the Seven Lakes, it unfolds imposingly among the Andean-Patagonian forest joining Lake Nahuel Huapi through the shortest river in the world.
Small lake hidden between mountains, Espejo Chico is one of the most beautiful spots that can be found on the Route of the Seven Lakes.
Its location, hidden in the dense forest, gives it its name. It is a small lake, oval in shape, 850 m long and 250 m wide.
Once in San Martin de los Andes, on the shore of Lake Lacar, you can tour the city and visit a viewpoint.

It's quite boring. You stop at each viewing site for 5 minutes, take pictures and move on. For $150 I expected them to at least pick me up and drop me off at my actual hotel but they seemed unable to do so. Voting it 2 stats nonetheless because the tour guide was lovely. But unfortunately I wouldn't recommend this trip.
The day started with the Guide picking us up from in front of the hotel, it’s a good idea to leave your mobile number when booking the trip because it was super easy to stay in contact with the agency. The omnibus that picked us up was a very clean one, air conditioning and we made sufficient stops on the way to take photos and enjoy the scenery. Isis, our guide, made the trip very interesting for us, she told us stories of the lake’s names, history of the area, history of Nahuel Huapis national park, its emblem, story about Lanin national park and its emblem. We stayed in San Martin de los Andes city and enjoyed walking around, having lunch and spending some time by the lake. This was a great time to spend the day in Patagonia.
The scenery was very nice. The guide spoke english well and was able to explain what we were seeing. If you are an active person, it is a lot of time on the bus. The time on the bus could have been used better. The excursion could be more informative.
We had a very nice day exploring the seven lakes region. We had an excellent guide, Matias, and driver.
The lakes, the unexpected visitors (birds and animals) . San Martin de Los Andes a sweet little town, nice meal and cheerful service. The history demands to say - excuse us “first people”.
