Itinerary
The Basilica of San Nicolas di Bari is one of the most important places of worship in the city and is one of the main examples of Romanesque architecture in Puglia.
This area is a collection of small alleys and streets that intersect each other creating a real labyrinth, but it is precisely here that you can see the real Bari, rich in history, tradition and culture.
The cathedral is an example of Romanesque architecture, with Byzantine and Norman influences. It has a Latin cross plan with three naves, divided by reused columns (i.e. reused from pre-existing buildings).
The Swabian Castle of Bari is a majestic 12th-century fortress, now used as a museum. Built in 1131 on ancient Byzantine structures, it is traditionally associated with the Norman King Roger II.
Technically this street is called Via dell’Arco Basso, but it is now known as the Via delle Orecchiette. famous throughout the world thanks to the women of Bari, the true protagonists of this street. Every day, with skill and precision, they create thousands of orecchiette by hand, sitting at their wooden tables, offering a unique spectacle that encompasses one of the most deep-rooted traditions of Italian cuisine.
Piazza Mercantile is one of the most famous and historically rich squares in the city of Bari. Built in the Middle Ages, it has played a central role in the social, political and economic life of the city since the beginning.
The Fortino di Sant’Antonio Abate is located on the Imperatore Augusto seafront, in front of the old port, and is one of the four bastions that formed the walls of Bari until the 19th century.

Great audio Guide for our first visit in Bari. It gave us a good Overview about the most important Sightseeing spots and the History behind it. We only can recommend this Guide for everybody.
Really good guide, if you would like to do a walking tour on your own. Very informative and brilliant value for money
No contact possible with two mobile phones (FAQ, internet, and telephone). Scam for 12 euros, to be removed from your site. Viator has successfully processed the payment.

Filled with good information, easy to follow and understand, covered all of the highlights. A nice way to take a tour if you want to be able to go at your own pace. Also nice to have both audio and text. Excellent value for the price.
This is a neat idea, the audio tour using Google Maps to guide you (one minor glitch in the map with Fortino di Sant’Angelino Abate, but easy to figure out). It’s very convenient to state your walking tour whenever you want, stop to see things that catch your fancy along the way, and start it up again. What you perhaps miss with an in-person guide, in being able to ask wuestions, or maybe get more details about history, you gain by being able to go at your own pace. The technology (through TripAdvisor) was easy to use, and the FAQ for use very helpful. The restaurant and food recommendations look good. Tips for other things to see nearby corresponded with the ones we received separately from another guide. We were satisfied with our purchase.
The Audio Guide is quite easy to handle and provides interesting information about the city’s history
The guide in French is very good. The route takes us on a tour of the main sights of Old Bari. Every point of interest is very well documented. The guide must be downloaded to your phone and you must have your headphones with you. If you are more than one person, each must use their own phone, but no network is required as long as the guide is downloaded before departure.
A nice and well informed little walk through the old city centre of Bari. Good info, easy to handle
Very easy way to see a new city when you have limited time you can choose to go into the historical monuments or castles or you can just walk by enjoy the city vibe, grab something to eat and drink on the run and continue on.
Great way to see the city in your own time and your own timeline. Great information, listening to the history of this wonderful city.
