The starting point of our itinerary to discover Bari is the Norman Swabian Castle, which has always been the protagonist of the city events and surrounded by an imposing moat. We will only see the castle externally. Anyone interested in the interior can visit it at the end of the tour independently.
Perhaps there is no road that is representative of Bari more than the famous Strada Arco Basso, but better known as the road of the orecchiette. Here Rosa, Angela, Nunzia and the other women of Bari, old every day, tirelessly make orecchiette by hand, the typical format of Bari pasta. We will take the time to chat and take pictures, for those who wish.

Great tour. Very informative and interesting. Our guide brought the history and culture of Bari to life. Loved the mix of contemporary art, food, architecture and history.
Our group was disappointed with the tour. Despite braving the rain and things starting out with lots of interaction and information, the guide started taking calls to coordinate other tours later that day. In the middle of a discussion or answering a question, the guide took calls and at one point didn’t realize the group had stopped to take photos and to see more as he talked on the phone and walked away. We would use a different guide/company next time
If you want to understand Bari more deeply than Spritzes, Foccacia and Orrecchiette this is the tour to take. My guide was able to help me understand the beauty of Bari, some history, the legends and the facts. He was so knowledgeable and he responded to my specific questions and curiosities. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable--from specific details related to Bari, to much larger events of the time. He was also very animated. The tour gives a nice overview of Bari Vecchia without feeling like a slog.
