We had a very pleasant evening led by Feranda and her sister Sarah. She is a cheerful hostess and a good cook. Together with her sister she taught us the intricacies of Italian cuisine.
Thank you for your lovely review! We're so glad you had a cozy evening with Feranda and her sister Sarah. A cheerful host and good cook – learning the secrets of Italian home cooking in Bari with wine and local recipes. Hope to welcome you back soon!
A bit of miscommunication so we were lucky to have found the place on our own. Broker who set up the activity wasn’t really helpful and refused to reach out to the host. The activity was quite causal and super fun. The host Cristina and her mother are wonderful people to meet. The dinner was outstanding and the dessert was heavenly. We would recommend the experience if you like to visit an Italian home cook for an authentic family meal. We really enjoyed learning to make capunti and orecchiette. Would have loved to receive the recipes but it was never sent as promised. Nevertheless we loved the experience and would recommend!
This was one of The Best experiences of my life!!! The food was Amazing and our Hostess went above and beyond to make the whole experience memorable! If you have the opportunity…Take it! You won’t be sorry!
We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and were completely comfortable with Cristiana and her mom. We even got to take home leftovers of what we made. Delicious
Unforgettable night of laughter and cooking. Michele gave us a memory we will cherish! The food was delicious and we learned about cooking pasta ( the simplicity and complexity). Finishing up with a delicious meal. It was more than we expected!
Do not miss this experience. This was the highlight of our three week trip to southern Italy. Christiana takes you in to her home as a guest. She and her 88 year old mother taught us how to make two kinds of pastas, two sauces for the pastas, and home made cream sauce for the cream puffs we made for dessert. All the while the elder woman was telling us about her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. This was like visiting the Italian relatives you didn’t know you had. After dessert we enjoyed three potent digestives that the elder woman had made from fennel, lemon, and tangerine. When we left Christiana called a taxi for us and escorted us out to the taxi to make sure the driver had the proper address for our destination. If you want to feel like you have experienced the real Bari, this is the thing you should do.
A very nice experience! My daughter and I were the only guests. Our hostess and her live-in mother were very welcoming. We made our own pasta by hand. Knead, roll and twist. Then we had a great meal. We enjoyed a real Italian evening.
This was a fun class! There were 4 of us, my husband and myself and a mother and daughter from Hungary. We made the dough and then learned 2 different pasta shapes. Christiana was a charming hostess and generous in sharing her knowledge.
Cristiana was an amazing host. Wonderfull food. I can not wait to try it out at home. I rated it 4 because the place is far from the center.
Christiana and her mother were extremely welcoming and very helpful with teaching pasta making. Not only getting to learn how to make the pasta but also sitting and enjoying an amazing meal with many local dishes made it worthwhile. Also a great way to meet some other people from all over the world. Highly recommend
