Basically you hit a few hole in the wall food spots for 1 small dish each. Then hit the church. The guide is knowledgeable about the city and history. Very nice guy.

Operator response

Thank you for your review! We're happy you enjoyed the guide's knowledge and the city's history. In Spain, tapas and pintxos are traditionally small portions, allowing you to taste a variety of authentic local flavors – that's the true experience we want to share, and we're glad if you felt it that way!

Could have been great…

This should have been a spectacular tour by the description. We’ve done many food tours, and they’ve been the highlight of our trip. I rate this one average because the tour guide wasn’t very talkative, and we felt that they were just leading us from place to place. The biggest disappointment was at the Sagrada Familia. The guide told us which line to get on and then it was adios. We assumed that the guide would at least stay with us long enough to tell us what to see inside.

Operator response

We’re sorry to hear you felt this way. Our guide shared that it wasn’t a lack of information, but rather that the group had very low attention and frequent internal conflicts, often arguing instead of listening. Even in the bars, staff asked for quieter behavior. Regarding the Sagrada Familia, this is not accurate – the guide explained the exterior in detail, helped you download the official audioguides on all six phones, and you even mentioned in person and later via WhatsApp that you enjoyed the tour. It’s surprising to see such a negative review after that feedback. Reviews like this can harm the hard work of our team, who strives to create memorable experiences for our guests.

Excellent tour with Alan

Alan was Fantastic! He worked with our arrival time and had everything coordinated for our food, drinks and the Sagrada Basilica. He was super informative about the city and we enjoyed everything he had to share with us about Barcelona and our sights

Good food, but left disappointed.

The food and wine tasting was pretty good. It tasted good and the tour guide was very nice and knowledgeable. We only went to 3 places instead of the 5 that's listed on their itinerary, but by then we were full, so I didn't mind. They goofed in that they provided 1pm tickets to Sagrada Familia, but didn't realize it until 2pm after the food portion of tour was winding down. By the time we got to Sagrada, they had already closed and we were not able to get in. The tour did refund me $70 for their error, but the main reason for this tour was to see Sagrada Familia, so it was disappointing not to be able to see the inside.

Operator response

Dear Henry, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're truly sorry for the confusion regarding the Sagrada Familia tickets — it was an honest human error, and we completely understand how disappointing it must have been not to visit the interior as planned. Please rest assured that this is not something that normally happens, and we’re taking steps to ensure it doesn’t happen again in the future. We’re glad you enjoyed the food, wine, and your time with our guide. Regarding the food stops, unfortunally Boqueria market is closed on Sundays, but the guide provides you extra food in the last stop ensuring you still tasted all the dishes outlined in the experience. We're happy to hear that you left feeling full and satisfied with the culinary portion. Again, we extend our sincerest apologies and appreciate your understanding. We hope to welcome you back in the future for the full experience you deserved. Warm regards,

Today was a great day!

What an amazing day! Horacio Angel was a fantastic guide. He brought us to several eateries the locals go to and we got to sample the Barcelona cuisine. He explained the history of Catalonia, Barcelona and the Roman time. We walked through several neighborhoods and got to see the diversity of the city. It was great to see Bacelona as Barcelonians see it. Horacio was knowledgeable and funny. It was a great day and if you are lucky, you'll get Horacio as your guide.

A taste of Barcelona

This experience was extraordinarily wonderful. Jennifer was awesome. Her knowledge of the city was incredible. Her personality and understanding of art was exceptional. We were spent by the time we reached the second or third tapas, which was as tasty as the first. Best experience ever! This was definitively an excellent and unparalleled taste of Barcelona for sure!

Fun tour with a great guide and great food!

Jennifer was a wonderful guide and we felt more like we were walking around the city with a friend than a tour guide. She took us to places we would have never explored on our own.

Great Barcelona tour if you want to see how the locals live

Alan is very personable, and knowledgeable. His knowledge of Barcelona and it's history is fantastic. His use of a map is brilliant to walk you through the ages of the city. The food was amazing and he knows everyone. He also listens to what you want, and caters the tour as best he can.

My mom and I had a great time with our private tour guide, Brunella. One piece of advice is to come to the tour hungry! We were able to walk around and get to know the city and it's beautiful architecture all while trying out new drinks and tapas. Brunella was very knowledgeable about all sorts of topics which made the tour enjoyable and we were able to ask her a lot of questions that you might not get in a larger tour group. Thanks again!
