There is a great deal of walking with stairs. There’s only two homes that have the fancy tiles. I was tired and disappointed.

Its past is incredible and fascinating

I found it to be a very enriching excursion, how wonderful and fascinating the history of Spain is. Learning about our history and knowing how the idea originated to reach its development and so that we can currently enjoy it.

Worst TICKET buying experience ever

It sucks because we were never given clear directions on who to contact. Simply a meeting point. We thought we were staying in Barcelona but once we arrived we were informed that it’s actually 30mins from Barcelona we thought we gave it enough time and that with the address we were provided by Viator we gave it to the taxi man who said to leave at least 45mins earlier. We left an hour earlier and still arrived 10/15mins later than the start time. Of course no one was there we then went to an entrance of the park where we had to show them an entrance ticket and of course I didn’t have one. The cell service was terrible and I never received the tour guides message from Viator on WhatsApp until after 8pm. However I did reach out to an email on Viator at around 2:30 when we were in front of the entrance to see if he/she could meet us there so we can join them but no one ever answered. Again it wasn’t until I got back home trying to make the best of my trip having had to spend more money buying the tickets again to find out at 8pm that we wouldn’t have been able to get the tickets I paid for arriving late. So that makes me feel like it’s a scam. The buy tickets by the bulk at a much discounted rate and sell you then double the cost! Giving your a “tour” and if you don’t show up they don’t lose out on money bc you already paid for the ticket they aren’t giving it back but they can resell your tickets to anyone the day off, or allow others to join the tour etc! So what could’ve ruined my vacation for not allowing me and my daughter to make her dream come true to relive the cheetah girl “movie” filmed ther to be relived by her was the highlight of our trip and I had to rebuy the ti key but they only had a 7pm listing but the lady there said we wouldn’t be allowed to enter now bc we had a driver waiting for us who already tried his best to getting us to the meeting point on time!

Guide refused to reschedule after traffic closures

We were unable to make it to Park Güell due to traffic closures from Pope Leo’s visit. We contacted our guide and asked for accommodations — either to wait for us or to allow us to move our tour to another day, but he was unwilling to do so. While we were aware of some traffic issues, we had no idea that taxis would not be allowed to cross the city, nor were we aware that public transport was rerouted. The guide’s refusal to allow us to take the tour on another day seemed like an excessive interpretation of the cancellation policy, as we contacted him as soon as we were informed by our taxi driver that he could not cross any father. We reached out to customer service, who also contacted the guide. He refused a refund at that time as well. This refusal was a blot in our otherwise lovely Barcelona vacation.

Good info and use of time

Do not take the metro to Parc Guell, only the bus.. otherwise you will have to hike all the way around it to the main gate where the tour meets (you are welcome)! Our guide was a trained art historian, making the tour very informative. It was very short and it was nice to have our time spent wisely. Yes, you can do research and wander on your own. The tour includes skip the line, but the regular line was moving quickly.

Exciting history to learn

It is located a little ways out of Barcelona and make sure wear comfortable shoes and a hat. In the summertime dress accordingly for the weather.

Our tour guide overcame our torturous double hike up the hill

You need to plan a little ahead to get to the meeting spot. We followed the Apple Maps from the Viator app and it tried to take us through the park to get to the meeting place. We had to walk all the way down the hill and back up. This is not an easy walk. That part needs to be worked on to inform people. It very well could have ruined the tour. Some of us almost decided not to go while we were walking up the hill. That said our guide was great. His passion shined through. He also understood the group was tired and hot from the hike up the hill and guided us accordingly in shaded spots. Overall we enjoyed the tour. Wish the app would have guided us better towards the meeting place.
