The only way you can hear information about where you are is using a plug in ear piece. One of ours didn't work so we had to change seats and could not sit together. After getting off and hopping back on, we were on a standing room only bus on the lower deck. I was standing in the stairwell. This felt more like public transportation than a hop on hop off tour. We got off the bus and took a cab to our next destination. I would definitely not book this again. I'd like a refund.
I need a refund for this. Went on a bus tour and the operator telling us their will be detour and the bus stop are close on the next stop most of the time! Not really helpful pf locating the bus stops when you want to start the bus tour. It is really waste of moneu. much better to take a one day single ticket to the train ypi can go quicker on the next destination. not so helpful on the tour . can someone help me if i will be able to get a refund for this pls!!!
It was a wonderful way to see the city specially if people have mobility issues, they can just stay on for the 2 hours.
We didn’t have a great experience with this particular transportation. The bus is clean and the ear buds and tour descriptions are easy to use, but the ride stops can be tricky to find and getting from one stop to another is very slow. At one point, it took our bus an hour and a half to go three stops. During this trip, our driver even left the bus for a while to take a smoke break while we all just sat there. Because we had tickets to a tour, we ended up having to get off early and rent an Uber. Another thing to note is that if you are booking this during hot months, it’s an extremely hot ride. Up top you get a breeze but are sitting in full sun. Inside there is no airflow and the “fan” just blows hot air in a few places. We didn’t experience crowded buses, so that’s a plus (but also may be because so many people realize this is not the best way to get around town).
The city tour was really great. The tour guide 10:00 AM bus at Camp Nuo on our tour day was very helpful. he was actively running UP and down the deck and helping the participants. The tour covered most of the important landmarks in Barcelona.
Got back on the bus about 8 pm. Expected to be able to ride it back to the place we originally got on (near my parked car). The ended the bus route in the middle of the city and we ended walking about 1 1/2 hours with a five and one year old to get back to our original location.
The tour bus doesn’t stop at designated stops/pick up stations. We waited an hour when the information said every 20 minutes. I really believe we should be refunded for this tour (would have rated 0 stars if I could)
The buss route with City Tours is satisfactory. We went 17 Jul 2026, purchased the tickets with the Eco Catamaran add on. Found the ferry kiosk. Asked ifvthus was the eco catamaran and showed the city tours guide map. The girl looked at me like I was from planet Mars, the guy with her says something in Spanish. She then says there is no more tours until 6.30 pm we were there at 2, but..... wait for this .... if you pay an extra 10 euros x 4 people, you can go on the catamaran at 6.30pm..... What the heck. Felt like a con add on to me !!!
the routes are very interesting and offer a great opportunity to know the city. The personnel at the stations, as well as to ones on the bus were exceptionally friendly and helpful - CUDOS! BUT: 1. Many sound outlets on the upper decks are defective or missing. 2. Once, we and other about 40 persons waited for 45 min until a bus already almost full appeared. When eventually a part of the waiting crowd succeeded to get some places on this bus the driver announced this bus will not continue and we must wait for another one.At this station there was another not working bus...
I booked a bus for 2 days for 2 adults and 2 children for the beginning of July in Barcelona. I called customer service several times to be sure that everything was fine for the reservation and the weekend of July 4/5. Arriving at the first bus stop, there was a large sign stating that there would be no buses on July 4 due to the Tour de France. I immediately called customer service, who were not aware of it; I requested a refund for the tourist bus that I was unable to take. They indicated to me that they "were going to conduct an investigation," as they themselves were not aware that there was no traffic. We found ourselves stranded with my husband and my two children, aged 4 and 5, in Barcelona without any means of transport, having paid €134 for 2 days. I went to the tourist information office at Plaça de Catalunya. And there I clearly understood that the refund was bothering everyone. They even tried to resell me tickets for the next day, even though I had just been literally ripped off. I left in tears because I was unable to visit my dream city, and because of the meanness of the lady selling the tickets; she laughed in my face as I was leaving. I had to stand my ground to get a refund because the lady on-site told the agency that I had taken the trip. I had to fight for many days and threaten legal action to obtain a full refund. I am very disappointed with this bad experience, both with the organization over the phone and on-site. Which cost me my trip and my patience
