The BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi is the first traditional Hindu temple in the UAE, reflecting a symbol of tolerance and cultural harmony in the region. Located in the Abu Mureikha area, it stands as a place of worship, spirituality, and community engagement for Hindus in the UAE and beyond. Built using hand-carved stone, the temple features intricate designs that reflect Indian architectural heritage. The Abu Dhabi Heritage Village is a reconstruction of a traditional Emirati village, offering visitors a glimpse into the UAE's pre-oil era. Located near the Marina Mall on the Corniche, it is managed by the Emirates Heritage Club. The village features displays of Bedouin lifestyle, traditional crafts, and local artifacts. Visitors can explore a variety of exhibits, including a souk, a mosque, and typical Bedouin tents, all designed to showcase the region's cultural heritage. Artisans also demonstrate skills like pottery, metalwork, and weaving, providing insight into the traditional crafts of the UAE. It was interesting viewing the Sheikh Zayed Mosque. The Baps Hindu Temple had good food as well. The travel guide taught us few interesting facts.

It was breathtaking and fascinating to see these wonderful objects. Our guide was extremely polite and very funny. Time has passed very quickly with him, as he took great care of us. We were amazed that he had so much knowledge at such a young age of 24. All in all, we are more than satisfied with the program. His name was Shamnad Noushad.

For today I had booked a tour to Abu Dhabi to visit the Sheikh Zayed Mosque and the BAPS Mandir. Mr Zain was our guide and he did a great job : felt comfortable with him and he could tell a lot about Dubai/Abu Dhabi. Will recommend him for sure in my circle and will book a tour with him for sure.
