30 min

Experience the sensory explosion of Bangkok’s largest wholesale flower market, where thousands of fresh blooms arrive daily from across Thailand. You will walk through vibrant aisles of orchids and jasmine while watching skilled local vendors weave intricate traditional garlands. This bustling hub provides a fascinating glimpse into the floral artistry that plays a vital role in daily Thai spiritual life and ceremonies.

Longtail Boat Departure & Grand Palace River View Step aboard your private longtail boat to begin a captivating 2-hour cruise through the historic heart of the city. As you enter the majestic Chao Phraya River, you will enjoy an unobstructed panoramic view of the Grand Palace and its shimmering emerald spires. The boat then maneuvers away from the bustling main river into the tranquil, narrow canals of Thonburi, known as the "Venice of the East." You will glide past traditional wooden stilt houses where locals still live in harmony with the water, offering a stark and beautiful contrast to the city's modern skyscrapers. Your captain navigates these winding waterways with ease, allowing you to feel the cooling breeze and hear the sounds of riverside life. This leg of the trip is designed for photography, providing unique angles of the city that are impossible to reach by land.

Nestled along the canal, this 200-year-old wooden house serves as a vibrant community hub for local painters, sculptors, and traditional puppeteers. You can explore the historic gallery, admire the ancient stupa standing in the garden, and soak in the peaceful atmosphere of this creative sanctuary. It is the perfect place to witness the preservation of old-world Thai traditions while relaxing by the water's edge with a view of the slow-moving canal life.

Wat Paknam & Big Buddha View From the vantage point of your boat, you will encounter the awe-inspiring sight of the Great Buddha of Bangkok, a 69-meter tall golden masterpiece. This massive statue towers over the trees and canals, creating a spiritual skyline that is best appreciated from the water. You will learn about the temple's rich history and its importance as a center for modern Buddhist meditation while capturing some of the most iconic photos of your trip.

Bankcock canals with an experienced guide a real highlight.

This was a great, fun and informative tour. The canal tour in a long tail boat was outstanding. Kit our guide was excellent, very personal, educational and fun. And the photos he took of my wife and I around temples and on the boat were very well done. I'd highly recommend this tour!

Bangkok Canal Tour

A perfect way to spend half a day in Bangkok. Hotel pickup was seamless, followed by transport to the flower market where we enjoyed a fascinating look at local life. Then came a wonderful private boat trip along the river, offering beautiful views of traditional riverside houses. We stopped at an artist center in a charming traditional home, visited two small temples, and finally cruised to the stunning Wat Arun Temple. Our guide was incredibly kind, thoughtful, and attentive to every detail. We learned so much about Thai daily life and temple traditions, which made the experience even more meaningful.
