Unforgettable safaris, and peaceful country road trip combined with Mysore royal palace.

5 Senses worked with us to accommodate our interests, and was so helpful in helping us plan a trip that fit with our available dates and budget! We highly recommend Bandipur/Nagarhole wildlife sanctuary. The drive was visually interesting and It was so peaceful staying in the natural park, and the meals were plentiful and delicious. Our cabin was cozy with a view of the Kabini River. There were several monkeys on the premises. Our first safari was a jeep ride through the forest where we actually made a rare sighting of a tiger, in addition to seeing spotted deer. The next day our early boat safari set out with a naturalist. There we spotted river otters, a mongoose, and many varieties of birds. Overall, all the details of our trip were taken care of well. We were picked up, and dropped off multiple times as planned. Our tour of Mysore Palace was conducted by a tour guide who met us and had us skip the long line. The bird sanctuary was closed for boating, but still filled with tremendous views of birds nesting on small islands. Our driver was kind, polite, and as conversant as we wanted. Don’t skip this experience if you are staying in Bengaluru or Mysore.

Great galavanting with genuine gentleman

Our tour guide - Mohan - was kind, knowledgeable, accommodating, and educational. My party made massive schedule change after schedule change, and though I'm sure it was annoying he was impeccably patient, pleasant, and professional and found the best trip we could imagine. I would trust Mohan to drive safely across India, tastefully sprinkling in facts, and trust him and Five Senses to collectively create great experiences.

Wildlife and Palaces

I had a weekend free after conference in Bangalore. I signed up for the wildlife tour at Bandipur and Mysore. This was a great way to spend the 2 days exploring the rich wildlife as well as cultural heritage of the erstwhile Kingdom of Mysore. Anyone who has 2 days in Bangalore should do this. It's a great way to spend the weekend.

Beautiful national park

Beautiful national park. Lots of flora and fauna. Great lodge. Friendly staff. The drive itself is fascinating as you see the change from urban to suburban to rural. Our guide Divaker was knowledgeable, courteous and fun. The one night stay makes the drive much more manageable. Only bummer was gridlock traffic returning to Bangalore.

Thrilling wildlife experience

The Bandipur wildlife tour was amazing Five Senses team had put together an unforgettable experience. I got picked up in a private car from bangalore and stay was arranged in a charming jungle lodge. We saw plenty of deer, peacocks and monkeys just near our lodge. The safari was fantastic as we drove in a jeep through the jungle and saw several elephants, mongoose and jungle fowl. It was the morning safari which made our day as we were fortunate to spot a Tiger passing right in front of our jeep and then it disappeared into the bushes! It happened so quickly that i could not take a picture! We went to Mysore after Bandipur and had a great time at the Palaces. The Mysore Palace was bewitching and very ornate It was a fantastic way to see Indian wildlife and a former Kingdom. Very highly recommended.

Just a nice experience and a disconcerting experience

5 Senses continue to arrange quality outings. Bandipur in itself was a nice way to break things up and see a different side of India. Got to see a lot of elephants but no big cats. All and all I would surely do it again and again.
