We did the walking tour of Fell’s Point with Donna. We absolutely loved it. She gave us a great overall history of the area and lots of anecdotes and fun facts. Donna was animated and enthusiastic throughout. We would definitely do another tour with her if and when we go back to Baltimore and highly recommend her.
Donna Ann was not only extremely knowledgeable but engaging and personable. It was truly a custom tour and we learned a lot while have a thoroughly enjoyable time.
My husband and I left the Yankee/Orioles game and hopped on a bus. This is when we met Sue and told her we were visiting from upstate New York when she suggested for us to call her friend Donnann from Beautiful Baltimore Tours. I called Beautiful Baltimore tours and I was shocked to get a live person on the first ring. It was Donnann the owner of the tour company. She said she was soon to start her tour as she was waiting for a couple to arrive at the starting site. It ends up she was across the street from Homewood Suites and we waved hello to her. Met her and started the tour. Her knowledge of the Inner Harbor was amazing, she was funny, witty and full of life. I believe we ended the tour after 2hrs. We highly recommend Beautiful Baltimore Tours, it is a great bang for your buck and very entertaining.
We did the Inner Harbor walking tour. Donna Ann was a great guide. We learned a lot about Baltimore and Maryland in general. The Inner Harbor area is beautiful. We even got to see the Trash Wheel!! I wish we were in town longer to be able to tour the other areas as well.
DonnaAnn was an excellent tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and personable. We appreciated her wit and humor. She was responsive to our questions both before and during the tour. This was our first time to Baltimore so we learned much about its history in a short time. The fact that the city was settled as a free colony and welcomed immigrants was something that stuck with us. We enjoy walking tours and would recommend this tour.
Thanks so much for the kind words, I'm so glad you enjoyed Fells Point. It was great to get the 411 catch up on Cali! Come see us again!
Interesting, engaging, fun.
Thanks so much for the kind words, Mitchell. It was fun showing Baltimore to someone who used to live here!
What you should know is that this is an awesome tour, and totally worth doing on your first day in Baltimore! Donna has so much information, presents everything conversationally, and she knows everyone! This was one of the best walking tours I have been on anywhere.
Thanks so much for the wonderful review, Caitlin. It was a blast to show you two around Fells Point. You were such interesting guests!
I booked this tour as part of a birthday celebration outing for a friend. Although we are both familiar with Fells Point, I knew there would be lots we could learn, especially about the history. DonnaAnn Ward is an energetic and entertaining tour guide, with an encyclopedic knowledge of the area. I would definitely book another tour with her and highly recommend her tours to others!
Thanks so much for the review, Laura. Meeting you two was genuinely enjoyable. I loved the spur of the moment visit to the art gallery and finding out that you're an artist was the cherry on top. Glad Oleum was delicious!
DonnaAnn was my guide for the Fells Point area of Baltimore. She is very knowledgeable about the history of her city and obviously has a passion for telling its story. As a guide she is very personable, funny and offered her help with any other questions I had throughout my stay regarding restaurants and other sites to see. All this in an hour and a half and for a great price. I highly recommend her custom tours.
Aw, thanks, Joan. Compliments from a fellow tour guide are always so meaningful. I loved when we shared our tips and ideas for improving our tours. Wish you the best with Walking With Joan and hope to see you again!
Travelers will get a great history review of the city from a Baltimorian who loves her city and knows all the fun and interesting details of its past and present.
