Balloons over Bagan is your gateway to flights over 8,000 temples and pagodas. The area is the cultural heart of Myanmar. Your balloon flight will be floating in the sky above thousand years of Myanmar history. You will see Bagan waking up in the morning, see many temples in the distance and get a spectacular aerial view of Bagan. Enjoy a spectacular hot air balloon ride over the temples of ancient city, Bagan. The exciting thing is that every balloon flight is different. You will see Bagan waking up in the morning. You will see many temples in the distance and get a spectacular aerial view of Bagan. Sometimes you may fly over villages and see people on their early morning rounds, feeding their animals; or going to market. It is an amazing and interactive experience.

- Minimum age is 7 years and 4’1” tall or 125 cm (passengers must be able to see over the basket).
- Minimum drinking age is 18 years
- The take-off site changes with the wind and is decided by the pilot in command on the day of the flight.
- Any Passenger in excess of 125 kg / 280 pounds, or any passenger who requires the space in the basket for 2 passengers, will be required to book the extra space at the time of booking and pay a 100% surcharge of the ticket price. Failure to provide accurate information in advance could lead to the refusal of flight at the launch site, whereby no refund will be offered.
- Ballooning does not usually affect those people who are scared of heights. Because the balloon travels with the wind, the basket is very stable and does not sway or rock during flight. There is no sense of vertigo or motion.
- For safety reason, any known medical condition which may affect your ability to fly or assist the crew must be disclosed to Balloons over Bagan at the time of booking and to the pilot on the day of the flight, i.e. epilepsy, recent surgery etc. Some conditions may preclude you from eligibility to fly. Pregnant women will not be permitted to fly. Balloons over Bagan will not accept liability for illness or injury due to any undisclosed condition or failure to comply with any reasonable instruction given by the pilot or crew or company representative.

Beautiful morning friendly staff. A must do if you come to Bagan. Looked up all the options but they are the oldest and most trusted and the only one that was actually still open.

Very good experience was a little disappointed about the heights we were flying. Thought I would be able to see the temples and pagodas better. When flying on top of the village I could see and experience it nicely

We celebrated the first sunrise of 2026 with a balloon ride. It was the best experience in Bagan. The team had a very high social and safety sense of responsibility, and I felt empathy and security not only for the flight but also for their entire activity. Pilot Andy was meticulous about the safety of the balloon operations, as well as the fun of the flight. At first I thought it was a bit expensive, but it gave me experiences and memories that exceeded my expectations. 150% satisfaction. I want to express my gratitude and respect for my team.

First time balloonists here. We had an awesome experience flying with BoB. Andy and staff were professional, experienced, knowledgeable and safety conscious. We felt at ease through the entire experience and enjoyed a perfect sunrise balloon ride with ample opportunities for breathtaking photos. Tourism has waned in recent years and businesses like this are trying hard to make it work and providing needed employment to the surrounding community. If you find yourself in Myanmar please do consider a trip to Bagan to support this wonderful place and community.

Fantastic Balloon Flight, Booking Could Be Clearer We had an amazing balloon flight with BOB in Bagan — the ground team was warm, professional, and made the experience truly memorable. Our only minor issue was with the Yangon reservation office, specifically Assistant Manager Ma Mon Mon Aung. We were told a discount or commission would apply, but it wasn’t provided, and the policy wasn’t clearly explained beforehand. Despite this small confusion, the flight itself was excellent. Clearer communication during booking would make the experience perfect.
