Tour Options
Itinerary
We will start the morning picking up the travelers from our meeting point: outside the Hotel Ibis Larco Miraflores, located at Av. José Larco 1140, Miraflores. Our guide and bus will be waiting outside the hotel. The maximum waiting time is 5 minutes. The exact meeting time will be confirmed one day before the tour depending on the location of your accommodation. Make sure you arrive on time so you don't miss the service.
We will start the day with the arrival at the Port of Chaco, we will have between 30 to 40 minutes to be able to have breakfast and make use of the hygienic services (breakfast not included in the price). A perfect break to start the day with energy!
After breakfast, we will head to the pier to board a boat to the Ballestas Islands, where we will observe sea lions, seabirds and the geoglyph of the Candelabra. Important: In case of bad weather, access to the islands may be restricted by security. If it happens, we will visit the Paracas National Reserve or Isla Blanca as an alternative. This decision is usually made the same day, shortly before boarding.
At the end of the boat trip, we will head towards the city of Ica to visit the restaurant Cultur Pisco, where we will have free time for lunch (lunch not included in the price). After the break, we will start a guided tour of the renowned winery Cultur Pisco, famous for the elaboration of pisco, the emblematic distillate of Peruvian grapes. During the tour, we can taste its different varieties and get to know the production process, from harvest to distillation.
In the afternoon, we will move to the Huacachina Oasis to experience adrenalin-filled experience with our buggies and sandboard tour. On board powerful buggies, expertly conducted, we will tour the imposing dunes of the Iquican desert. You will have the opportunity to practice sandboarding, sliding through the sandy hills in a unique adventure. With a little luck, we will finish the day with an unforgettable view of the sunset on the dunes, from where you can admire the golden landscape of the desert and the beauty of the oasis in all its glory.
Finally, after enjoying all the scheduled activities, we will return to your hotel or Airbnb in Lima. Please note that the tour ends between 11:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m., so if you have a flight scheduled the same night, we recommend you take precautions. In case your flight is between 11:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m., we suggest booking a private tour for comfort, flexibility and punctuality in your return.

Although only me and my mother were non-Western speakers, the guide Javier was very detailed when speaking in English. Because we didn't follow back to Lima after the trip, but had another trip, Javier also helped us talk to the taxi about destinations and prices, and even helped get our luggage in the car. A 100% tour guide!
Julio was an awesome guide! Very chill and fun to chat with. He made such an effort to not leave anyone behind and find those who got lost which has never been my experience with other tours. This is a super long tour and he was animated and responsible the whole time! The sunset was incredible! The dune buggies and oasis are worth the long drive and tour for sure

The tour was super well organized from the start and noemi our guide was very attentive clear when explaining and with good vibe all day. The crossbow islands are a beauty I loved seeing so many animals in their natural space and the scenery is stunning, but without a doubt the most exciting thing was huacachina the buggies were pure adrenaline and sandboarding a crazy thing I had a lot of fun. If you are in lime and want to live something different this tour is totally worth it.
