Itinerary
Begin your day trip with hotel pickup and head to a lush coffee plantation nestled in the serene highlands of Bedugul. This tropical spice garden showcases how Bali’s famous coffee and exotic spices like vanilla, cocoa, and cloves are grown. Observe the traditional manual roasting process, an artisanal craft passed down through generations, and enjoy a complimentary tasting of several herbal teas and authentic Balinese coffee.
Next, explore the vast landscapes of the UNESCO-listed Jatiluwih Rice Terraces, which span over 600 hectares at the foot of Mount Batukaru. These emerald-green ridges represent the ancient Subak irrigation system—a traditional water management philosophy dating back to the 9th century that reflects the Tri Hita Karana (harmony between God, people, and nature).
Continue to the shores of Lake Beratan to visit the iconic Ulun Danu Beratan Temple. Established in 1633, this stunning complex is dedicated to Dewi Danu, the goddess of lakes and rivers, to ensure a steady water supply for farmers across central Bali. The temple often appears to float on the misty lake, providing a serene and mystical atmosphere.
Take a break and indulge in a leisurely lunch at a handpicked local restaurant. Savor a variety of traditional Balinese dishes prepared with fresh ingredients while enjoying the cool mountain air and scenic surroundings of the Bedugul highlands.
Finally, visit the majestic Tanah Lot Temple, an ancient sea shrine believed to have been founded in the 16th century by the high priest Dang Hyang Nirartha. Legend says the temple is protected by sea snakes at its base. Watch the temple create a spectacular silhouette against the orange sky at sunset before your driver provides a comfortable transfer back to your hotel.

The Jatiluwih Rice Terraces were breathtaking, the lunch restaurant served delicious food with incredible scenery, and holding and feeding a luwak at Ulun Danu Beratan Temple was a unique highlight.
