Xiomara provided an exceptional experience from beginning to end. She was professional, attentive, knowledgeable, and truly went above and beyond to make everything smooth and enjoyable. Her communication was excellent, and she made us feel welcomed and valued at all times. You can tell she genuinely cares about her clients and takes pride in what she does. I highly recommend Xiomara to anyone looking for outstanding service. Thank you, Xiomara, for such a wonderful experience!
The area you go to is a good distance so plan on a longer cruise stay to fully enjoy!! It was an amazing trip and our host was wonderful!!! Would absolutely do again with this company!
It was amazing and the tour guides were the best! The tailored the excursion to fit our group so we would have the best day!
This was a wonderful tour! It was an hour drive but the tour guides explained the culture and stopped for treats along the way! And the lagoon was amazing! We also stopped at a Cenote to swim and eat!
DON'T BOOK THIS TOUR! OVERPRICED TRANSPORTATION ONLY! Our driver Danny was great and did everything he could to save the day. What he couldn't control is this terrible itinerary. It starts by walking through a mile of tourist shops inside the port only to walk another half mile outside of the port to find the tour park stand. We did have a private vehicle for our family and a great driver but the drive was an hour and a half each way to a beat down overrun park in the lagoon that was passed off as a resort. There are many better ways to experience the lagoon. This is not one of them. If you want to make the trek to experience the lagoon, book a boat tour. The "fort" is an overrated museum. Cenote Azul is huge, and a decent stop, but not worth the drive. If you are looking to spend 3 hours in the car only to have a subpar experience, go ahead and book this. Otherwise, RUN and book a tour that includes boating in the lagoon or just hit one of the many beach clubs near the cruise port. What a disappointing day of our vacation that we lost.
Our tour guide Chamaya (spelling?) was wonderful and provided lots of great info. Bacalar was beautiful. Water was too choppy to swim much but still a nice place. We loved Cenote Azul. Long drive from cruise port but was a nice day.
Originally, this excursion was supposed to have 3 stops of near equal time at each. Unfortunately, our cruise ship (Mariner of the Seas - RCI) docked an hour late. The lagoon was incredible. We spent about an hour there. The water was some of the most beautiful we'd ever seen! Our cruise guides even took us to a local pineapple store for fresh fruit and to Taco Loco for regional cuisine! Since we were running short on time, our guides took us briefly to see the old fort and the cenote. We know we want to explore more of Costa Maya on our next visit! Side note - our daughter requires the assistance of an electric wheelchair. The guides picked this 300 lb chair up and down into the van at each site! Incredible! We were concerned about time and might become pier runners, but they ensured we would make it (in the nick of time!) Would highly recommend it! A+++
The drive was longer than both the stops combined. By the time we got to each location, we had only 20-30 minutes to actually swim. The lake and the cenote were both nice, but probably not worth the drive. Stay in the port, where there’s plenty to do and freshwater pools.
We loved this private tour. The guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. We loved hearing about the history and stories from local people. Would highly recommend this tour.
We were a group of 12 with 3 children(4, 3, 1). Carole was very knowledgeable about the area and history. You could tell she loved the area. We had a great driver (Dani)! They took us to a wonderful restaurant for lunch which was delicious! They were both very accommodating as it can be difficult travelling with young children. We had plenty of water and a cooler with ice which made the heat tolerable. Check in and location of tour was easy to find. We would definitely use them again.
