Join us to kick off your trip with a bang in magical Bacalar! Discover the highlights of the region with two flexible tour options. All entrance fees are included, and the experience is smooth, relaxed. Hotel pickup and drop-off in Bacalar are included. Option 1 – Ichkabal Ruins + Breakfast: (8:30 AM–12:30 PM): Early hotel pickup and transfer to the impressive Ichkabal Mayan ruins(Optional climb of two 30–40 m pyramids), far from the crowds. Enjoy free time to explore the pyramids and jungle surroundings, followed by a local breakfast with traditional tastes, fresh fruit, coffee, and juice. Option 2 – Full Experience (Ichkabal + Breakfast + Los Rápidos + Drone Shot): (8:00 AM–4:30 PM): Full-day tour : After Option one we continue to Los Rápidos—one of the most relaxing spots in Bacalar Lagoon. It’s a narrow natural channel with a gentle current, where you can swim or float along in clear turquoise water. There’s also a restaurant and bar on-site to relax.

Hidden deep in the jungle, Ichkabal is one of the most important and mysterious Mayan cities ever discovered. Once a political and spiritual center, it played a key role in the formation of the ancient Mayan civilization. After many years of research and restoration, Ichkabal has recently opened to the public, offering a unique opportunity to explore a sacred site untouched by mass tourism. The journey begins at Ichkabal, where we walk among ancient temples and plazas surrounded by lush jungle. During the hike, it’s common to spot monkeys, foxes, and colorful tropical birds that inhabit this area. This is not only a visit to an archaeological site — it’s a step back in time to experience the magic, mystery, and nature of the Mayan world.

Los Rápidos is one of the most stunning and unique parts of the Bacalar Lagoon — a natural canal where shades of turquoise and deep blue blend in a mesmerizing way. Here, you can let yourself float with the gentle current and feel completely connected to nature, surrounded by crystal-clear waters and the peaceful sound of the jungle. It’s also a perfect place to explore by kayak, gliding smoothly through the calm waters while admiring the incredible beauty of the lagoon. If your location is outside these areas, we’ll be happy to suggest a convenient nearby meeting point for you. Pick-up Policy for the Tour • Guests must be ready on time and wait outside their accommodation for the tour vehicle. • The driver is only required to wait a maximum of 5 minutes. After that, it is the guest’s responsibility to reach the tour meeting point independently. • Please note that failure to show up on time will be considered a no-show. In such cases, changes or refunds will not be accepted under any circumstances. • In some cases, the vehicle may not access all streets or hotel entrances. Guests must wait at the nearest designated point. • Delays of up to 10 minutes due to traffic or weather may occur. We kindly ask for your patience. • Guests must keep their phone/WhatsApp active for contact. • Don’t forget to bring essentials like a towel and any personal items you may need.

This experience had a bit of everything I hoped for. Out your guide was super friendly, welcoming, responsible, and knowledgeable. The communication prior to the tour was outstanding. I wanted to explore the wilderness and get to the top of a historic site. This tour fulfilled that and more! I wanted to go to Los Rápidos and take cool photos. We did that and more! We left on time and came back on time. One of the highlights was the breakfast in the jungle. Want to feel the wind against your body after climbing a historic site? Do this tour.

I just went on this tour with my dad and it was an amazing experience. Mehran was a great tour guide that had a lot of interesting things to tell especially in ichkabal. The tour was beautiful, walking in a small group inside the jungle to see ichkabal felt almost unreal and cooling off in the water after was great as well. Mehran also took very cool videos and fotos of us in the water which was a very nice ending to the tour. Thank you so much! We had a great time.
Great experience. Had Ichkabal all to ourselves. Guide was knowledgeable and kind. Driver was fantastic. Los Rapidos was fun and the driver stayed with our things at the table while we made multiple runs to float the lazy river. Made for a stress free experience

If you're in Bacalar, the excursion with Mehran to Ichkabal is a must; the experience is magical. Being picked up from your hotel is very convenient, and the guides are charming and very friendly. They know the local customs, so they'll make sure you're well-informed throughout the tour. Mehran and Eli are excellent guides. The drive to Ichkabal is beautiful, as it's deep in the jungle, and you might even have the chance to see a jaguar and other wildlife. The stop with the local family for breakfast is a magical moment; they prepare delicious food and coffee. Plus, their prices are very reasonable compared to other tour companies. I highly recommend this excursion; you won't regret it. Si estás en Bacalar, la excursión con Mehran a Ichkabal es imprescindible; la experiencia es mágica. El hecho de que te recojan en el hotel es muy práctico, y los guías son encantadores y muy amables. Our hosts were friendly, kind and knowledgeable about the site—which has only recently opened. Lunch was delicious and taken in a quiet food spot with a local family and their adorable daughter. Going to the site in the morning allowed us to be some of the first—and only—visitors which always makes a visit extra special, too!

Mehran was punctual with pick up and the whole tour went smoothly. From being one of the only groups to be at the ichkabal ruins in the morning and getting to see the good spots first. Then to a lovely breakfast with a small family in the forest was really good and the food provided was amazing. Then at los Rápidos was an amazing experience and topping it off with his drone shots! Would 100% recommend this tour if you want to get the most out of Bacalar.
