This tour was an outstanding way to experience Buenos Aires, and it exceeded our expectations in every respect. The itinerary was exceptionally well designed, offering a rich and engaging overview of the city’s history, culture, and neighborhoods—from the foundational story of Plaza de Mayo and seeings like the Cabildo, Cathedral, and Casa Rosada, to the deeply moving contemporary history of Peronism and the Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo. Each neighborhood brought something distinctive: the charm and character of San Telmo, the vibrant colors and immigrant history of La Boca, the elegance of Retiro’s grand architecture, and the fascinating artistry and stories found in Recoleta Cemetery, including the resting place of Eva Perón. Even shorter stops, such as Puerto Madero and passing by icons like the Obelisco and Teatro Colón, added valuable context and visual impact. What truly made the experience exceptional, however, was our guide, Mariano. He was incredibly helpful, warm, and friendly throughout the entire tour. His knowledge was impressive, but just as important was his ability to present complex history in a clear, engaging, and approachable way. Mariano was attentive to the group, happy to answer questions, and clearly passionate about sharing Buenos Aires with visitors. His enthusiasm and professionalism made the city’s past and present come alive. I would wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Buenos Aires. It provides a comprehensive, thoughtful, and enjoyable introduction to the city—and with a guide like Mariano, it becomes a genuinely memorable experience.
Thank you so much for your kind words about Mariano! He truly is exceptional. Hoping to see you again to show you more of our beautiful country!
In addition to a very informative all-day tour of BA, we also booked with Lunfarda for a two-day Iguazu Falls trip that was AMAZING! This boutique agency is fantastic at supplying personalized travel experiences! Highly recommend!
Thanks for traveling with us! It was our pleasure showing you around!
The day was just about perfect and we could not have been happier. Our guide, Joanna, was so knowledgeable and engaging that we just fell in love with her. Even better, she knew when to hit each spot, so as to minimize crowds, and our driver got us in-and-out of places so easily, and with minimum walking, (one of us preferred not to go long distances). If you have limited time in Buenos Aires, or want to get a good overview to decide what spots to spend more time in, this is the perfect tour. They even recommended dinner venues, which we tried over the next several days, and were not disappointed by a single one.
We had an excellent and extremely knowledgeable guide - Mariano - and, being a private tour we could adjust the timings to take account of our interests.
Mariana and the team at Lunfarda Travel is THE ABSOLUTE BEST! Their professionalism and comprehensive knowledge will make your trip to Buenos Aires unforgettable. As soon as we arrived home in the U.S., we wanted to go back! From the airport transfers to visiting the most interesting sites and attractions, we enjoyed every minute of our touring time with this agency. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Lunfarda Travel to anyone interested in getting a fun-filled, well rounded visit of one of the worlds most fascinating cities.
