If you have a few hours to kill why not...

Punctual and friendly driver, driving a bit fast but in comparison to some others on the road rather cautious. The first site is worth it especially for the stunning view. If you are offered to eat somewhere I advise you not to accept.

Recommended for those who like the ruins

I was happy because it took about 6 hours to get there and the price was good enough to get to the 3 citadel ruins (not including guide and entrance fee). The driver also kindly drove me home to the train station in Urgench. It depends on the driver in charge, but it is better to have Google Translate as a measure if English is not understood.

An unforgettable experience of meeting ancient culture

We visited three ancient fortresses, the landscape is amazing. These fortresses are quite different from Ichon- Qala, because they are remains located in desert and near the Aral sea. The driver is punctual and nice. He speaks English so we have no problem to communicate. At the end of the trip, he help us find a good restaurant in the city centre of Urgench.

Aladdin Travel's not good enough...

It was very helpful to have the airport as the departure point and to arrange it. I understood that because I had heard beforehand that the driver was not a guide and there was no explanation. But they didn't turn on the air conditioning, and the hot dust wind kept blowing away my strength. In the end, the driver told me to pay the entrance fee to the "Qizil Qala" which is listed as included in the tour, and it is included in the tour price! The driver said he would leave without going in, so I contacted the tour company and finally got paid. My partner would say things like, "Let's pay the entrance fee" because it was hot, and it was a bad aftertaste because it was a bad atmosphere.

Relax and smooth.

Trip to fantastic locations. Arranging by WhatsApp went fluently and the trip was at a good price. The driver couldn’t speak English but was kind and friendly and a good driver. He made us feel relax during the trip. And he gave us all the time we wanted to visit the forts.

Nice experience

This was just car service between Khiva and the three fortresses, no guide and driver had limited English. If you want to know the history, go with guided tour.

Great experience

Jalol is a great driver and companion. He picked me up at the hotel and dropped off at the specified train station. The trip itself was smooth, with lots of time to explore the ruins by wandering around in the silence broken only by the howling wind. Totally worth it if you're in Khiva and want to explore the less-known parts of the region's history.

Only Remnants of the Outer Wall Remain

This fortress is located approximately 100 km. from Khiva. Be aware that there is a distance from the parking area to the fortress, with no paved path, and an uphill hike to the top portion, which is only the remnants of what once was. Actually, only a portion of the crumbling walls remain. You might find a shard of pottery lying somewhere, but very little else to see. My favorite part of the excursion was stopping to buy melons. And buying gasoline for our vehicle.

Really worthwhile to see...

Really worthwhile to see 3rd century Bactrian ruins! The ruins were not in the best shape and it was quite a long drive across the sand to see them, but it was still worth going.
