Our guide was super. In all honesty, it was my fault that I booked the wrong tour but he made it very nice and easy. The only issue was a two fold problem, in which the lodge was being remodeled and was closed, and the 2nd issue was that the guide called us and requested 200 extra dollars to stay at another lodge. We thought it was very odd that we had already been charged then the tour guide requested another 200. Maybe it was legit. Maybe it wasn't. Either way it was a great tour and the 2nd lodge we went too was absolute amazing. The food we were fed was very good. It was a great tour except for the extra 200 that the guide tried to charge.
Dear Emilyn, Thank you for your feedback and for sharing your experience. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the tour overall and that our guide made your trip comfortable despite the initial booking issue. Regarding the additional $200, we would like to clarify that this situation arose due to the unexpected closure of the originally planned lodge, which required arranging alternative accommodation. The additional amount was discussed and agreed upon during the tour in order to proceed with the upgraded stay. Following the completion of the tour, it was agreed that the $200 would be settled afterward. You confirmed that the payment would be sent via bank transfer; however, despite this commitment, the amount has not been received to date, and there has been no response to our follow-up attempts via WhatsApp or email for over two years. We believe it is important to clarify this point, as the arrangement and agreement were made mutually during the trip. Thank you for your understanding. Kind regards, Adisu
I was traveling, a lone female, in Ethiopia when most of the world was in lockdown in March so there were very few tourists. I have never felt so happy, safe and well looked after in my life. The guides were first class, as was the driving and hospitality. The trip was extremely well organised, taking in breathtakingly beautiful and historic locations, and they were happy to make alterations in the itinerary to suite me, adding places of special interest. I cannot recommend Daily Addis Tours highly enough. Nothing was too much trouble for them, from calling them in the night (they were very upset if I didn't if there was a problem), to driving around Addis Ababa airlines tickets, Covid tests etc, standing in queues with me and locating contacts etc., all with grace and charm
