I really enjoyed this class. Balram is an excellent cook, he was also patient and clearly guided me through the process. Upon leaving I felt confident that I could make the dish which I might add was delicious! Balram thank you for sharing your culture with me.
Really enjoyable from start to finish. The kitchen was very clean and well organised, and everything was explained clearly, making it easy to follow along. Learning about the different spices was especially interesting and gave a real insight into the flavours behind the food. The steps for mixing and folding the samosas were simple but really enjoyable to learn. And of course, the highlight was eating them—they tasted absolutely delicious. The chai was honestly the best I’ve ever had, and learning how to make the chutney was a real bonus—something that can easily be recreated again and again at home. Recommended
Amazing experience for my husband and daughters. Balram and Retu were gracious hosts and welcomed us into their home. They were patient with my children especially on the tricky samosa folding :-). We learnt a few tricks that we can bring back to our kitchen. The experience was well managed by Monty @TheUltimateUrbanAdventures. High recommend this activity to anyone visiting Jaipur.
The food was so delicious! I can't wait to make it at home, we were with 1 other and both of us had tried making samosas at home before to little success but with a bit more practice I think the next attempt will be much better! It was good learning the difference in getting samosas from restaurants, vendors and making at home, and the differences in masala between seasons and families. It was really fun being invited into their home and learning about their lives and culture. They were all very kind and if we had more days in the area I would have liked to join one of their other experiences. Highly recommended!
Glad to hear that you enjoyed the experience with us in our home. Thanks,
It was an incredible pleasant experience with Rita and her family!! She’s full of energy and happy to share with us! The samosas and the masala tea were perfect!! Thank you so much! Hope to see you again! 😍 N’hésitez pas!!
Thank you so much for taking your time to submit the review. Glad to hear that you enjoyed cooking with Rita.
We loved the cooking class! Apparently it was the first time Harshita had included children (we were joined by another Mum and her three year old), and she and her family were so accommodating, patient, and lovely. We made a separate non-spicy batch for the children, and Harshita's husband even organised snacks for our early morning train the next day, which I really appreciated. My girls very much enjoyed getting involved - and she also had lots of toys for them to play with :) Highly recommended - and very good value!
It was lovely to have you in our home and we all enjoyed meeting you. Thanks for taking your time to submit the review. Many thanks,
We descended on Harshita’s family en massive with three 3 year olds and 2 Mummies. We really enjoyed learning how to make the samosas and the lovely family coped admirably with us all. A lovely, authentic experience and thank you for having us all.
It was so wonderful to meet you all and we enjoyed meeting everyone. Many thanks,
