This was such a special experience – way more than just learning to cook. We started at a local market, seeing where the locals shop for fresh ingredients, which gave us a real feel for Balinese life. At the cooking class, we were welcomed into a beautiful Balinese home with tea and a black rice and banana dessert. It felt so personal, and we got to ask all our questions about their food and culture. The cooking itself was incredible! My favorites were the perfectly spiced chicken skewers and the coconut pancakes filled with coconut sugar – absolutely delicious. This class gave us a real connection to Bali through its food, and I’d recommend it to anyone. An experience I’ll never forget!
We really enjoyed the cooking class and the various dishes you get to create using different methods. There was lots of laughter during the entire class and the food looked and tasted amazing at the end. Getting the recipes afterwards was also nice :)
Absolutely loved this experience full of authentic touches! From our arrival to the private home, tour of herb and vegetable garden, a Balinese coffee and traditional sweets, every detail surpassed the other. Meal preparation was fun and well paced. The final product, a delicious meal. Highly recommend this tour as a way to further immerse yourself in the most welcoming of cultures.
