One of the coolest experiences of floating in a large body of water in the nighttime was truly unforgettable and the guide was amazing.
It was a great experience, very peaceful and a sky full of stars. We also had beautiful northern lights display
A great time well worth the experience
Really a cool activity. Very relaxing. Cool feeling. In good weather with the northern lights, it would be a breathtaking activity, but also very cool without lights.
Such a fun and unique activity, we also got lucky and saw the northern lights while floating in the water so we could enjoy the magical moment without our necks hurting from staring up as we were comfortably on our backs.
It was so amazing, unique. I did as a surprise for my bf for his bday . Our travel guide , I believe his name Victoria, was so nice and play his part and told the other passengers to play along . On our way to the lake he stopped showed us the beautiful aurora lights , took pictures than we were off to . In the cabin he explained everything suited us up . He took videos and pictures each of us getting into the lake . Turned the lights off ( but he remained right on the dock ) so we have can see the light to the fullest. 😍😍 As coming out he helped me since I got stocked 😂 on the ice 😂. After taking the suit off we had hot tea , cookies . My bf had an amazing time ! These survival suits are fun to float in !! No water got in! Highly recommend this activity since it’s super unique!! 😍😍😍
Were in a small group on February 19, 2026 at the Ice Floating and it was great! We could not see the aurora borealis, but we could float in the water under a starry sky. Although it was -26 degrees, we were only cold in the suits towards the end. We would definitely do the floating again and it was a highlight of our trip.
Such a fun experience! I thought my feet or hands would get wet but I stayed totally dry. It truly was a great time and the guides were lovely and very encouraging!
SKIP THEM if you want basic decency—plenty of other tour outfits in Rovaniemi that do it way better and actually understand the meaning of customer service. Awful experience which actually left a bad taste for the place. We got stuck with a rude guy who came to pick us up from our hotel and insisted that we get in the back row of an empty van for no good reason (except that it was how he did things), even though one of us is 6’2” and has knee pain. When we politely asked to switch to a better spot up front, the driver Brandon just shut us down. He basically said “it looks fine to me”. Every question was answered with the same phrase, whether it made sense or not. We then proposed one of us sits where he wants and the tall person sits up front anywhere except the back row (as it couldn’t be moved and was extremely uncomfortable for someone tall). The answer was no and he then proceeded to not even let us sit in the van and stand outside in -25, while he went and sat in the van. We then received a call from their office which wasn’t much better in that they were not only rude as well but also suggested the same solution that we anyway suggested to the driver but ofcourse he refused to listen to us. Made the whole day stressful and felt like there might’ve been some racial bias playing into how they treated us. Not only did we not receive a refund / constructive solution despite having paid upfront weeks in advance, this was the last day of our trip and it spoilt our entire mood. After checking other reviews, seems like bad staff vibes are a theme and we shouldn’t have booked with them.
Brendan my friend- thank you for one of the most meditative, cool and unique experience. He was funny, assuring , quick with and absolutely felt like a friend. He has got a knack for understanding humans and also clicking pictures. Would recommend this to anyone going to Finland.
