Lace up for a 3.5-hour walking food tour through Inman Park, the city's very first garden suburb and a National Historic Landmark since 1973 (translation: this neighborhood was being charming before charming was cool). Creative Loafing crowned it ATL's best foodie 'hood, and once you've wandered past the gingerbread-trim Victorians, ducked into Krog Street Market, and strolled the Eastside Trail of the Beltline, you'll get why. Along the way, you'll eat your way through five to six locally owned restaurants serving up the kind of Southern and regional dishes that make you forget you ever liked chain food. Good news for picky eaters and food-allergy warriors alike: we can work around most dietary needs, so nobody's left nibbling on a dinner roll while everyone else feasts.

We had an awesome tour with our very knowledgeable guide, Janice! She was a spectacular story teller and really knew how to build the tension when telling her stories! The only feedback I have about the tour is that a wider variety of food types would have been better in my opinion- there were two pastries and two chicken dishes out of the 5 courses (the other was an indian dish which i loved!) Given that there are so many different types of food in Krog Market where we had our first three tastings, I would have liked a bit more variety. However, the food that we did have was delicious and the tour was overall fantastic. Highly recommend!

Janice was the absolute best!! Our flight was canceled and we got to the group 45 minutes late and she was nice enough to show us what we missed after the tour was over! Now that is customer service. The food was great (especially the chicken sandwich from Soul Food & Culture at Krogs!) but the walking part of the tour was just as great. Loved seeing all the historic homes and hearing all the stories of an Atlanta gone by. And the Beltline is a wonder to behold. We couldn’t recommend this more!

Our experience was awesome. The tour guide was very helpful, knowledgeable, and very friendly. We were traveling with a 5 month old and a two year old and our tour guide made everyone feel comfortable and encouraged us to ask questions. Good tour, got a taste of Atlanta, the portions were HUGE so we were stuffed by the end, our guide was very personable! Overall, the history and art aspects of the tour fell a little flat, the history largely focused on the beltline and the neighborhood's historic homes/buildings, but lacked context and information regarding the city's major historical events, especially pertaining to the civil war/MLK/civil rights, plus we really didn't see much art beyond one artist's mural and the architecture.

Our tour focuses on the history or Inman Park and the Beltline. There are wonderful Civil Rights and Civil War history tours in the city, but that's not our speciality. We would love to refer you to some other tour companies if you're interested.
Terrific tour guide. Janice was lots to fun and interesting information. The food was great and loved looking at the homes in the Inman area. Highly recommend if you are in the area.
