Best Tour Ever!

I did a Assin Manso Slave River, Elmina Castle & Cape Coast tour thru Best of Africa Travels.  It was by far the highlight of my 8 day visit in Ghana.  Hamza (Driver) & Zaid (Guide) were so friendly and fun to be around. They made the drive so much more enjoyable, while answering my many questions and sharing their vast knowledge of Ghana history + culture. They were both fantastic photographers who captured lots of meaningful moments as well.  The Slave River was a highly emotional experience. Zaid was my personal tour guide for the Elmina + Cape Coast Castles. It was wonderful to be able to move about at a relaxed pace while he explained the significance + history of each area.  To top it all off; they took me to a place to eat lunch where the locals go. The fufu with fish + goat meat was soo good!  I highly recommend Bast of Africa Travels. Everything from reservation to pick-up and drop-off went smoothly. The vehicle was spacious and clean. And WhatsApp communication during the whole process was responsive

Last tour to honor our Ancestors

This tour was surreal on so many levels. Our driver and tour guide - Zaid were both easy going and easy to communicate with. Especially Zaid. His demeanor is very calm and relaxed. It allows you to feel confidence in his presence. The Assin Slave River was very hard for me. It broke my soul to know what my ancestors went through. Even though I live in America and know more than I need to know about the history, I learned some new things. But afterwards it was great to have conversation with Zaid cuz it's hard to put all of this into perspective being the Descendants of an Enslave African. I was allowed to process my emotions and they guided us gently through the steps. It takes special people to accompany you through this. They provided us with the necessary history at the Elmina Castle. It was just so much to take in. I appreciate his gentleness. In addition, lots of history at the Cape Coast Castle. Before we departed home we went to the Lemon Lounge and I had a wonderful okra soup. It was delicious. And also appreciate the pineapple ginger drink. They kept us safe, the only thing was we were out all night And those police check stops, were a little nerve-wracking. I didn't know the tour was so long. Overall, A great tour and I definitely would do it again. Not the same tour but something different.

Thank you so much for sharing such a heartfelt and powerful reflection. Your words beautifully capture the emotional depth of this journey, and we’re honored to have been part of it. Zaid will be deeply touched to hear how his calm presence and thoughtful guidance helped you navigate such a profound experience. Visiting places like Assin Manso, Elmina, and Cape Coast Castle is never easy it’s a confrontation with history that still echoes today. We’re grateful that you felt supported and safe as you processed those emotions, and that meaningful conversations helped bring clarity and connection. We’re also glad you enjoyed the lighter moments the delicious okra soup and pineapple ginger drink at Lemon Lounge sound like the perfect way to end the day. We hear you on the long hours and the police stops, your feedback is valuable however is due to the on going road expansion at the Cape Coast- Kosoa Road. Thank you again for trusting us with your journey. We’d be honored to welcome you back for another adventure something different, but just as memorable.

Good history on the slave experience in the Slave castle. Guide was very knowledgable on all topics and history . The trip provided some great coastal views and town views. Lovely port commerce and ships next to the castle.

Long everlasting memories

Cape Coast Tour, Incredible Must Do Experience After returning from the UK, I decided to explore Ghana's rich history and natural beauty by embarking on a tour with Boansi Travels, visiting Cape Coast Castle, Elmina Castle, and Kakum National Park. The experience was nothing short of incredible. The tour was excellently organized, with Boansi Travels ensuring everything ran smoothly from start to finish. At Cape Coast & Elmina Castle, I was deeply moved by the history of the transatlantic slave trade. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable, painting a vivid picture of the past while encouraging reflection and understanding. The highlight of the trip was Kakum National Park, where the Canopy Walkway offered breathtaking views of the lush rainforest. Walking across the suspended bridges was a mad adventure . Throughout the journey, Boansi Travels went above and beyond to make the experience enjoyable and stress-free. I highly recommend Boansi Travels for anyone looking to explore Ghana’s incredible culture and natural beauty.

**A Profound and Unforgettable Experience with BOANSI Travels**

My wife, Bethy, and I, Etzer, had an incredible experience with BOANSI Travels during our recent trip to Ghana. Enoch and his team were not just our guides; they became friends. From the moment we met, their kindness, politeness, and respect were evident. They went above and beyond to make our trip memorable. One of the most poignant moments of our journey was when we encountered the painful history of our ancestors' tribulations, suffering, and humiliation. The experience was heart-wrenching, yet it deepened our understanding and connection to our roots in a way that words cannot fully express. Despite the emotional weight of this experience, Enoch and his team made sure to balance our trip with warmth and joy. They treated us to well-known national delicacies, including fufu and Nkosua Ne Meko (Egg with pepper). It was our first time trying these traditional meals, and their enthusiasm made the experience even more special. Our driver, Michael, demonstrated exceptional skill, expertly navigating the bustling streets of Ghana. He took strategic detours to help us avoid traffic, ensuring we reached our destinations quickly, comfortably, and safely. Throughout the journey, he played a wonderful mix of local music and American hits, making the rides enjoyable and soothing. Additionally, we were accompanied by a talented cinematographer, Raees, whose subtle presence captured the essence of our journey without being intrusive. His work added an extra layer of professionalism to the entire experience, preserving our memories in a beautiful way. We were deeply moved by the story behind BOANSI Travels, a company Enoch named in memory of his grandfather. It speaks to the deep respect, values, and love that guide this company. Without hesitation, we would recommend BOANSI Travels to any of our friends and family. Enoch’s kindness, respect, and professionalism are unparalleled, and we are confident that these qualities will take him far in all his future endeavors.
