A great experience altogether

We also booked our airport pick up with Songbirds Safaris and everything went very smoothly. Daudi, our tour guide, was excellent. He explained to us the history and culture of Arusha and Tanzania and we was very patient adapting the schedule to our liking. Overall a great experience. We fully recommend this tour and operator.

Great day out. Tour guide is amazing!

Pur tour guide Daudi was awesome, very friendly and smiley. He let us browse the markets at our own pace but stayed close which made us feel safe. He was very knowledgeable about every part of the tour. Honestly don't know where he keeps all this information. Our highlight was the Art gallery. But the whole tour was great from start to finish. If we had more time we would go again!

More Than I Ever Expected!

This tour was so much more than I expected—it completely exceeded my expectations! I had the chance to visit so many interesting and important places around Arusha, but my favourite was definitely the local market. It was such an authentic experience to see the atmosphere, meet local people, and learn more about the culture. My guide, Baraka, deserves a special mention. He is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and thoughtful. He made me feel safe and welcome, especially while walking through the local market. Because of him, I felt comfortable talking to local people, and he even taught me a few Swahili words and shared lots of interesting things beyond what was included in the tour. The tour was supposed to last 4 hours, but we ended up spending almost 6 hours together because he wanted to make sure I had the best experience possible. I never felt rushed. Communication before the tour was also excellent. The team responded quickly to every message and kept checking in to make sure I had all the information I needed about the meeting time, the guide, and the tour details. Their organisation was outstanding. Honestly, what more could I ask for? 😂 If you come across this tour, book it—you’ll be lucky you did! 🍀

I really enjoyed walking around Arusha with him and I feel that I know so much about Tanzanian history after this tour. Excellent, comprehensive and inexpensive tour with a great guide

This was probably the best tour bargain we have ever purchased. Israel, our guide was terrific. We were picked up and returned to our hotel which was like 20 mins+ away from town. It turned out to be an all day tour which was unexpected. It was more than reasonably priced. It was comprehensive and we were given as much time as we needed at every stop, except at the Maasaii Market, the last stop on the tour. We ended going back there on our own at the end of the tour because there are so many African crafts to see and buy. We loved the Cultural Heritage Center. The art there is exceptional. The food markets were edgy but fun and we felt much safer there with a local guide, especially in the men's side where vendors were less friendly. You don't go inside the Old Boma, but I guess it is worth seeing, as is the clock tower. The Tanzanite Experience is just an excuse to try to sell Tanzanite jewelry and could easily be dropped by the tour, but I suspect every tour operator gets a commission on anything sold there, so this is probably not an option. So men, find a seat. All in all, the tour was excellent and we would highly recommend. We felt safe and secure with Israel as our guide. If you have an extra day in our around Arusha, this is the best way to experience the town and its people.
